I had woken up the next morning to Gabe, standing over cas' bed, screaming at both of us but we were both passed right out. I sat up slowly and stuck my hand up at him. He froze in place and I shook cas till he woke up.
"Hmmm? What is it" he said rubbing his eyes. I slowly pointed to his brother.
"I didn't mean to I swear I don't even know what I did! I just stuck up my hand and he was yelling and everything was so quick and and I'm so sorry!" I kept babbling till he covered my mouth and looked me right in the eyes "just concentrate... Think about unfreezing time" he said pointing to a clock that was standing still. I nodded slowly and shut my eyes, breathing in and out... When I opened them I could hear Gabe yelling at us again. Then stopping and looking around
"What just happened to me?" He asked slowly, I shrugged and looked really nervous. Cas sat up and looked at Gabe, then at me.
"Madison is staying with us" he just blurted out. gabe narrowed his gaze on his little brother
"She's what now?" He said
"She's staying here... Her parents our out of town and I'm her boyfriend... She doesn't have anywhere to go but here please can she stay" he said practically begging, I looked at Gabe and he looked at me. I smiled as politely as I could and read his mind
Oh god, I can't let her stay here but she has no where to go. We have no where to put her and we don't have enough money to feed 3 people in this house... How do I let him down easy? How do I say she can't stay. Damn it she's looking at me, just smile. There's something about her... That look in her eyes and how I just... Froze? What did she do to me.
"Fine she can stay" he said and looked at me "stay out of my things, stay out of my parents old room and please... Try to contribute" he said and left the room thinking once more. I smiled wide and hugged cas "your brother has a really active mind" I said and he laughed "can't be that active, he can't even think for himself" he laughed looking at me and I joined in.
"I wouldn't think so cas... I read his thoughts... He's thinking a lot and mostly about what I am" I looked at him slightly scared
"Don't worry okay? He won't figure it out... I promise" he said and gave me a reassuring smile. I nodded
"Well I can't leave the house... So what do you want to do?" I got up and looked around his room
"I can make you breakfast?" He smiled at me and I nodded "sounds good... I'll stay here" I said and he left out the door soon after. I looked around his room for a bit before sneaking out and going down the hall towards more rooms. I looked around to see if I could see cas' brother anywhere and I didn't so despite him saying I couldn't go into any other rooms I slide into a room with a full sized king bed. I walked around the room looking at photo graphs and little trinkets till I hear a small sound coming from the closet. Despite it startling me I walked slowly closer till I reached the closet. I reached out to the closet door and breathed deeply till I opened it quickly and nothing, nothing was there. I sighed thankfully and went to turn around when out of the corner of my eye I saw a dim light in the back of the closet glowing as bright as it could. I turned around slowly till I faced it and walked forward, farther and farther into the what it seemed like.... Never ending closet. When I reached the back of the panel I looked around and nothing... There was nothing but a small book and a rod of some kind of metal. It was beautiful let me tell you and the book? Really old. I knelt down to where they lay on the ground cold and lifeless like they were struck down in some sort of escape plan. I reached my hand out to the book first and picked it up, dusting it off and trying to read the cover but no luck. I next reached for the rod of metal but as I was about an inch away I hear someone coming into the closet, they see me and they look furious beyond belief. I freeze, a centimetre away from the metal rod and as Gabe reaches me it starts glowing.
"What are you doing in here... What did you do that for!" He screamed at me and tried to pull me away but the metal wouldn't let him touch me. I was scared, oh so very scared.
"Help please" I muttered before the metal made it's way into my finger tips and there was a bright flash of light, then nothing.
I came to what it felt like a minute later but had been hours. Gabriel standing over me with his little brother at me side, the book at my feet and the metal still in my hand. I slowly sat up and looked around
"Where am I? What happened? How long was I out for?" I asked all at once and Gabriel answered
"You were out for 3 hours, you're on the ground in my parents old room and... I'm not sure" he said while stepping away
"You'll be fine Madison" cas smiled at me reassuringly. I smiled back and looked at Gabriel, puzzled.
"Why are you lying to me" I said standing up with help from cas
"I'm no-" I cut him off
"WHY are you lying to ME" I said, starting to get angry and my hands glowing again. Gabe flinched
"Okay okay calm down... There's nothing worse then an angry witch" he said and I glared
"How do you know" I demanded
"Well what do you think knocked us both out?" He said smirking at me, then fading back to a frown once he sees my eyes deep red.
"How do you know about witches I mean" I glared making him turn and face me
"How else... My own mother" he said and lowered his head. I took it upon myself to leave cas out of he he conversation and talk to gabe trough thoughts.
"Tell me everything you know" I began and he gave me memory after memory of his mother, her doing magic and belong him. Casting spells and actually teaching the boys some things. After the whole thing I felt drained and fell back into cas' arms.
"So now that you know... Are you going to leave or hurt us or what..." Gabe said and looked at me coldly. I looked at him with Hurt in my eyes
"If that... If that's what you think I'm here to do then fine... I'll leave..." I said and looked away wiping a small tear "back to my parents then" and I sent both the boys memory after memory of my dad beating me while my mom just watches. Not caring. As I left the room and them with my horrid memories I went to cas' room and started packing up my things. It's time for me to go where I truthfully belong. In hell.
