Mihyun's POVChanyeol finally drove us home after we had packed and talked to the doctors one last time. I was excited to get home, to my bed. But it also felt weird, the only thing that was missing was grandma, she was gone. It was hard to think about it, tears wanted to run from my eyes, but I managed to hold them in. Baekhyun was talking with Chanyeol about a party with his crazy friends in a few days for his recover from the injury. Unlike me, Baekhyun didn't need time to think about what had happened, he needed to get away from it, think about other stuff. Same with our parents, he didn't return home for two weeks. He was with his friends all the time and grandma only got short messages like 'I'm fine' and 'Staying with Chanyeol tonight'. Now he is different tho, he is always watching me, he will never leave me behind like he did then.
I looked lost at our house, the little, white and empty house. Our sweet home suddenly felt like a ghosthouse.
I dragged my suitcase out of the car, but gentlemen Chanyeol took it for me. Baekhyun had begin staring at the door since we arrived with the key in his hand, ready to lock it up, but it seemed like he couldn't. I slowly approached him while I tried to help him with the key. He was in a completely different world, didn't pay attention. I used his own hand to lock up the door while he still stayed in the same postition, not able to move at all. I gently pushed him inside and took his suitcase after me. Chanyeol came inside as well.
I stared empty in out outer corridor at grandma's precious old coats. The white walls with our old family pictures made my whole body shiver in a bad way. The dark wooden floor looked dusty just as our old fashioned interior inside the dinning room and the living room. I took off my jacked and slowly walked into the cold living room before I turned towards the stairs while I looked at all the pictures of our dear family. Mom always looked so beautiful in pictures, her bright smile made the whole family shine. And our handsome dad who always had his left hand on Baekhyun's shoulder in every damn family picture. He was really proud of my brother, good in school, handsome as well, played the piano really good, prefect manners and so on. Baekhyun wasn't any better than me, but he was older and they had a really strong father and son relationship.
Dad always looked at me like a princess, and he made me feel like one as well. Mom was always making everyone happy, but I was never sure if she was happy herself, I never got to ask her either.
I went upstair towards my room, the dust were everywhere. We really had to wash the place before we could live there. A low sound of piano could be heard from the living room. Baekhyun was playing on the grand piano, and I knew that was his way to cry. Playing his feeling, his emotions. I quickly looked at my undone bed and my messy closet, nothing had changed. The piano got louder, but a even more beautiful sound. I went downstairs again to look after Baekhyun, I could hear his sorrow threw the piano piece he was playing. Suddenly when I arrived the living room I saw Beakhyun smashing his hands on the piano which made a huge noise. He collapsed down on the grand piano and I quickly approached him and lifted his upperbody from the piano. I looked deep into his read eyes before I hugged him thightly. He couldn't hide it, he had to cry, but this time we only had each other.
"I'm sorry", he sniffed. "I'm so sorry, Mihyun. I distroyed your life, I killed grandma", he cried in my shoulder.
"No, no you didn't", I patted his back. He felt really guilty I guess, it wasn't his fault at all. "You know I love you right? So don't cry", I whined still patting his back.
"I love you too", he pounted and finally hugged me back.
