It didn't take long for me to realize what was happening and melt into the kiss. My heart was racing and I felt happier in that moment than I had in any other point in my life. I didn't want the night to end because I knew that after the few seconds that this kiss would last, the happiness that I was feeling would end with it. Mason would remember his boyfriend and probably rush home to him all while leaving me here and taking this feeling with him.
Much to my surprise, however, he didn't pull away and sure as hell didn't either. We kept kissing for a few minutes before I pulled away from him. I looked at him to try and read his emotions from his facial expressions. He was smiling and looked almost as fascinated by something as I was with the night sky earlier.
"What?" I asked him while tilting my head slightly. Mason remained silent and instead stood up slowly before extending his hand to help me up. I took it gently and he lifted me to my feet before kissing me again. I returned it enthusiastically and we remained like that briefly until he pulled away.
He made his way towards the metal door before stopping to turn back around and wink at me.

"Aw, Rowan. He likes you!" Callie squealed as she fell backwards onto her bed while clutching a pink elephant plushie. I rolled my eyes at her and took the plushie back before hugging it to my chest.
"But what about Keith? He really likes him. Why would he leave him for me?" I respond with a hint of doubt in my voice.
"Are you blind? He may like this Keith person, but he definitely likes you. And probably more than him too by the looks of it." She responded leaning forward and taking the pink elephant away from me again. "As for your self doubt, my answer is why the hell wouldn't he leave his boyfriend for you? Look at you! You're adorable, honey!" Callie reached over and messed up my blonde hair.
I fixed my hair and smiled at her gratefully. 'What would I do without her?'
"Oh, I don't know. Probably die." She said getting up from my bed and walking towards the door. She stopped, turned around, and threw the elephant plushie at my head, which messed my hair back up, then proceeded to bolt into the hallway.
I chuckled to myself.
Before I could fix my hair from Callie's plushie assault, Mia rushed into my room and grabbed my hand.
"Woah, wait a sec-" I started. She began pulling off of my bed and out of my room.
"Hey, do you have time to talk? Thanks, let's go. NOW." She aggressively whispered without giving me time to answer. We made our way up the same stairs that Mason and I climbed last night to get to the roof. Mia practically dragged me out onto to top of the apartment building before finally releasing me from her grasp.
'How does she know about the roof?' I thought to myself. 'Okay, not the time Rowan.'
She had taken me from my room so quickly that I hadn't even noticed the tear stains on her cheeks.
"Oh, no. Mia, what's wrong?" I questioned quietly, placing my hands comfortingly on her shoulders. She lowered her head and looked at the ground.
"I..." She started to cry before she could tell me what was going on. I left it alone and instead brought her into a hug. Mia gratefully returned it and sobbed onto my sweater for a few minutes while I attempted to calm her down. When she was finally calm enough to speak she raised her head and looked sadly into my eyes.
"I think Callie is cheating on me." She spoke softly, hardly above a faint whisper. I back at her in shock.
'Callie would never do that, right?'
