"So, what was that about?" Mia asked as she plopped down on the couch and stole the blanket her and Callie had been sharing.

I sighed and sat down on the couch opposite.

"My dad wants to see me." I said quietly, waiting for Callie to yell.

"What?! The same dick-face-shit-wad that practically disowned and left you to fend for yourself at six-fucking-teen years old wants to see you? Hell no. I'm not letting this happen." Callie shouted in frustration, crossing her arms over her chest.

"It's fine Callie. He's only going to stay for like a week or so-"

"No! Even worse! It's one thing to have the balls to show his face around you again after everything he put you through, but it's a whole other thing to stay in your apartment for a week!" Callie sighed and softened a bit. "Rowan, hon, you know how he is. I doubt he's visiting now after all this time because he's had a change of heart. He probably spent all his money on alcohol and needs someplace to crash until the next unemployment check rolls in."

"Or maybe he actually does want to see me and make things right. We can't just assume the worst of him, Cal. I think I should give him a second chance." I said with determination.

Callie went silent in though for a moment before uncrossing her arms and slowly nodding.

"Alright. If you're willing to give him one more shot, then I guess I can't stop you. Just please be careful, okay? I mean, we both know how he gets sometimes."

"I will, Cal. Thank you." I said getting up off of the couch and giving her a quick hug.

"Oh, speaking of visiting, I forgot to tell you I'm going back to Pennsylvania on Saturday to see my family for the holidays." Mason said grabbing my hand.

"Aw, I was hoping to introduce you to my dad. Have fun in the wild west, country boy." I teased.

Mason shot me a slightly annoyed glare. "Pennsylvania is far from the wild west you idiot."

"It isn't when your Aunt Tammy comes to town!" I smirked running away from him and hiding behind Mia for protection. "I apologize for nothing!"

He rolled his eyes and walked over to me. "Well, you aren't wrong." He said kissing me on the cheek.

Saturday Morning

"Do you have to go back east? I'm going to be so lonely all by myself!" I whined like a small child while pulling on Mason's sleeve.

"You'll be fine, and you aren't by yourself. Callie and Mia are still going to be there." He pointed out.

"Yeah, like I said, all by myself. Those two are probably just going to ignore me and make out the whole time you're gone."

"Pretty much, yeah. That's what we were aiming for." Callie replied without hesitation.

"Don't be ridiculous, Ro. They do that even when I'm not gone. Now, I have to board the plane soon so-" Mason was interrupted by me engulfing him in a hug.

"I'm going to miss you so much. Please don't replace me with a raccoon while you're there." I joked, trying not to cry.

He tightened his arms around my waist. "I'm going to miss you too. If you have any trouble at all with your dad, call me and I will not hesitate to hop on the first flight back to Seattle to kick his ass." He said in a serious tone.

"Thank you." I said pulling away to wipe my eyes. He simply nodded before starting to prepare his luggage.

"I guess I need to get going."

"I guess."

Mason grabbed the sides of my face with his hands and pulled me into a quick kiss before pulling away so that our foreheads were touching.

"I love you, Ro."

"I love you too."

And with that he boarded his flight and we headed back towards the apartment.

When we arrived back at the apartment I noticed that there was one new voicemail on my phone.

Beep

"Hi, Rowan! It's your mother. I was calling to let you know that your dad's plane should be arriving in a few hours. I hope you two have fun! Love you, honey, bye!"

A/N

So... hi. I haven't been on this account in about two years and honestly never really planned on logging back into it. No reason really other than I just drifted away from the whole wattpad thing.

Anyway, that's not really the point. I stumbled across this story again (which not gonna lie, I kinda forgot it even existed), saw that I had 17 finished yet unpublished chapters and figured, in the spirit of the holidays, why not post the rest.

I don't know how many people are actually invested in this, especially after two plus years of hiatus, but I hope this at least makes a few of you nerds' day. I do feel the need to point out that my writing has improved quite a lot since Inked, seeing as I was only like fourteen when I wrote it (I wrote the chapters about a year before I posted the first one because I was hoping to finish the story before, but uh we all know how that worked out).

Regardless, hope you enjoyed it at least slightly and I would also like to say that I will not be continuing this or any other stories on this account. But I will most likely go through my drafts and post the pieces I never got around to publishing.

Sorry for the essay you probably don't care about, but I hope you have a great December and an even better New Year!
