About half an hour after the encounter with Mason we decided to call it a night and go back to the apartment. As soon as I got back to my room I pulled out my phone and inserted the number into it, all while trying to decided whether or not I should actually call.

Eventually I decided to put it off until morning considering how late it was and what a long birthday it has been. I changed my shirt and pants and crawled into bed exhaustedly.

I opened my eyes to light streaming in through my open window from which I could already hear the usual city traffic. I smiled contently at the warmth of my room and the comfort of my bed, remembering the events of last night. 'Wait a second,' I thought. 'I never open my window. Especially not before I go to sleep...'

"Good morning!" A semi-familiar voice said enthusiastically from next to me. I looked to my right to see none other than Mason sitting crossed legged next to me on top of my duvet. I screamed and fell out of my bed and onto my shaggy, tan carpet.

"What the hell?! How did you get in my house?" I yelled in hopes that either Callie or Mia would hear and come save me from this stalker.

"Through the door?" He replied in a confused and questioning tone as if he didn't know quite why I asked that. 'Is he telling the truth? Then why is my window wide open when I should be encased in the darkness my blackout curtains provide for me?' Before I could interrogate him any further, Mia burst through the door frantically.

"What's going on?! Are you guys okay?!" She shouted. She hurriedly glanced around the room to find why I was yelling only to find that nothing was different besides the practical stranger sitting on my bed. Letting out a sigh of relief she turned back to the two of us, smiled at Mason and then shot me an annoyed glare.

"What the hell were you yelling for, Rowan? Callie was asleep on me and your yelling woke her up! Now I'm cold." She pouted, completely ignoring the fact that there was a guy sitting on my bed. My jaw dropped in disbelief at her.

"You're not at all concerned that this guy that Callie and I met last night came into our apartment through my window and is now sitting on top of my bed?!" Mia tilted her head like a confused dog before a knowing smile spread across her face and she burst out laughing.

"Rowan, I opened the door for him. I let him into the apartment. He didn't climb through your window, you dork, we're literally on the twelfth floor. Not to doubt Mason's capabilities, but I don't think he can jump that high." She breathed out in between bouts of laughter. My face flushed red at my own stupidity before embarrassedly apologizing to Mason. He just giggled at me and said it was fine.

"But, why is my window open then?" I asked putting my hands on my cheeks to try and hide my quite obvious blushing.

"I came in your room to talk to you and felt how warm it was, so I opened up the window for you." He said with what seemed to be a faint, rosy tint of his own forming on his face. It was cute seeing him like that and I decided to make it my job to make him blush even more.

"Thanks," I started. "So why were you sitting on my bed while I was asleep? I thought you wanted to talk to me." I said trying to fight back a mischievous grin. My plan must have worked because his face grew five shades redder in a matter of seconds.

"Well, I...Um," He paused and sighed defeatedly. "I didn't want to wake you up because you had a late night and I thought you should get some rest." He refused to make eye contact with me by looking down at my duvet the entire time he spoke. I smiled satisfactorily at the fact that I somehow got him to change his demeanor from how he had acted last night at the club. A cough came from behind Mason, who was still sitting cross-legged on my bed.

"Right, okay. Well, if you'll excuse me, I'll be getting back to my sleepy girlfriend." She said before quickly turning to leave the room. She stopped by the door and turned towards us smiling slyly.

"And try not to yell, especially if you boys start going at it. I don't want you to wake up Callie again." And with that, she left my room and closed the door. Leaving us both blushing immensely in silence.
