Hey there.
If your reading this, it means that it's too late and I'm already dead. It's been a month exactly, a month since my last day as a human. I mean, just imagine you could know when, where, and how you died! You would freak out, wouldn't you? You would do everything in your power to not to that thing on that day at that time... But as I've learned through the worst way possible, fate is not a force to be reckoned with. Trust me.
Regardless, my best friend is still with you, and that means I need your help. With what exactly? I hear you asking yourself. Well, you'll see eventually. See, I can't exactly effect her directly, as they would break multiple Angel-codes, but I can influence people to do things for me. No, not possession or mind-melting hypnosis, what I mean is I can suggest things to them and weither or not they do it is solely up to them, but they usually just do it anyway. Think of it as a little whisper in your ear, asking you to do them a favor. Honestly it works pretty well, most of the time that is...But then sometimes there's these really stubborn ones who deny everything you tell them, those really piss me off.
Especially when that person is the only way you can currently reach your life-long best friend! Cough, cough, Cassie. And no matter how hard you try, she never listens to you! I mean jeez! Does she have the thickest skull around?! Probably. The worst part is, she is the main friend figure in her life right now, or at least will be...
A little trick I have hidden up my sleeve is the ability to see into the future. The only problem is that it is prone to change, due to people's constant changing of their minds. What I mean is this: Your walking down a road with a coffee shop on the right, and a books store on the left. The coffee shop is closer to you, so you originally decide to go get a cup before making your way down the road. At that moment, I can see your decision to get coffee. But, if you suddenly decide to skip your cup of joe, I see your new future. In this case, that would be going to the books store, and then heading home.
Complicated, right? You wouldn't believe it, even if I told you!
Anyways, just to get a good picture of me, I am a 23 year old male with a semi-goth clothing style; I have platinum dyed hair and blue eyes. Odd, considering I have both brown-eyed parents.... But oh well. As for personality, I'll let you figure that out! I mean it's pretty obvious, but I like to see how well you can pay attention! After all, you seem like a smart person because you chose to read this book. Hahah I'm funny!
But seriously, I am really kind and over protective of my best friend, Venus. She's like the world to me! If being her guardian beyond the grave isn't caring, then what is? I mean I could be at a beach or something, but I chose to stay with her. This is mainly because she's still getting over grief and the losses she's gone through recently. I'll name a few.... She's lost me, and her moving after I died really put a hole in her heart, like a serious, bullet hole. She's probably on the verge of tears right now, I bet! I mean, it's not unusual but when it does it really makes me feel bad for ever being her friend. I mean, With out her meeting me at school, she never would have had to go through my demise, not to mention all that's happened because of my death... I should have just chose to live with my mom... I never would have hurt her then.
But, that's beside the point.
I'm gonna bet you are at least a tad curious as to how my demise occurred, but "alas!" I will get to that. Trust me. But I have to get through the basis of our story first. I mean, you can't just jump in a pool, when you haven't put the water in yet! You break something for sure! All pool analogies aside, I still have to tell you how we even became Friends or anything, so I'm going to do that.
It all started in that one glorious day in kindergarten... ah, those were the days... So, on the first day of kindergarten, I was walking in with my mom to my first-ever classroom, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw an adorable dirty blonde and pale-green eyed girl that I knew, then and there, had to be my friend! So, I ran away from my mom and ran up to the girl.
"Hi! My names Alex, what's yours?" I said eccentrically to this timid girl.
She responded with a simple, "Venus." She didn't seem to be the talkative type. That was ok though, as our differences were what made us best friends. She was serious, timid, and caring, while I was sarcastic, snippy-but-caring, and spunky. And, we were like peanut butter and jelly: good separate, but even better when combined! Anyways, after that day we were joined at the hip, never leaving each-others side. Weither it be cheating on tests, or just a run around the school, we were together, always ready for the next time we saw each other. And... That's how we lived forever, until one day, that is.
The day I died; the day she lost a dear friend...The last day of my short and meaningless life...
Christmas Eve.
