I hate it when the grocery store's busy. The lines are backed up and it's impossible to find any items on the list. Oh well. It also doesn't help considering I'm getting. Every. Single. Red. Light. Ever since "the incident" I feel like the whole world's against me. Maybe one day I'll find happiness once again.

These red lights, I swear, will be the death of me. I roll down the window, realizing how hot it is in my tiny little car. I blink. And again. Sleep might become consuming at the moment. Sleep. That sounds wonderful...

No! I'm driving. Stop being stupid, Venus. Geez. This is a long light. I turn out the passenger window. The building seems to have a heavenly glow with the faint sound of an angel choir. Oh wait. That makes sense considering it's a church. Wow I'm blind apparently. Anyway, I bet they have concerts for their sweet choir. Maybe I'll attend. I haven't been busy lately. Mainly caused from "the incident". Either way I still have that free time to see one.

Why is my hair so frizzy? It seems especially worse tonight. Right now, I'm supposed to be driving off to the church concert but no. Stupid hair isn't cooperating. A few minutes later, I'm rushing over to the church. I slam on the brakes. Red lights. Speeding over to the church, I messily park and practically run to the front door. It doesn't open. I pull a little harder. Oh maybe it's push. It still won't open.

I pull out my phone to check the time. It's 5:30. The time that was on the flyer. Rummaging through my purse, I find the crumpled up piece of paper and attempt to smooth it out. It says in bold:  6:30pm. Wow. I have terrible memory apparently.

Oh well. I wonder, since I'm already here, if maybe they'll let me help set up and such. But the front door is locked. I bet there's a side door somewhere. I just have to look.

10 minutes and still nothing? Geez! A person! In the distance! I bet they can help!

"Sir? Sir!" The man glance over to me with a questioned face.

"I'm sorry to bother you sir, but do you know another entrance to the church, besides the front door."

"Yes, there is a side door right there," he pointed to the door I was attempting to open earlier. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to attend to my choir."

"Oh are you the conductor?" The man seems a bit upset but can't seem to stand my pleading eyes.

"Yes, I'm Mr.<insert name here>, the St. Michael church choir conductor. I have been attending here since I was a small boy back in the old days."

"Well, I was actually looking for the conductor or someone else I charge here."

He gestured me to continue. "Go on."

"I figured since I got here so early, considering I got the times wrong, I could maybe help set up or watch the choir rehearse." I smiled.

"Hmmm. Let me think." He was being very serious about this.

"Alright. You can help set up chairs and stands. However, I'm not allowing any soul to hear us until performance time."
