Signe's POV
My alarm just went off
"Ugh.. why do I have to wake up early anyway." I mumbled
I looked at the mirror, I was suprised by myself..
My hair was a mess, and I felt itchy because of the bed. So I took a quick shower and get dressed. Once I've done doing that, I re-styled my hair into a bun.
"Signe, breakfast ready!" My mom yelled at me.
"Coming! Just wait for me!" I replied.
I put my white-red dress, and ran downstairs.
At least breakfast wouldn't be so bad at all..
But it was...
Right when I sat on the "gigantic" chair with my mom and dad, I was expecting that I can make my own decision which is breakfast, just a tiny little decision... but no..
"Signe, here is your breakfast, a soup, my favorite kind of soup." My mother said.
That soup is just disgusting.. it's a combination of octopus and asparagus, and guess what? The color... I can't describe it!
"Can I please have my own breakfast, please?" I begged, hoping they will agree because this is just a simple thing.
"Signe, just eat what you have already, we are the ruler of this kingdom anyway and you have to obey us!" My mom yelled at me again
That word 'obey us' and all of that stuff.. why can't I just have one chance to make my own decision? I have grown up.. why?
"Signe! Did you hear what I just said?" She yelled again, but angrily this time.
"Yes.. mom.." That is the last sentences before I ran up to my bedroom and cry all day
~Time skip until late night~
Signe's POV
"I haven't gone out of my room all day, I'm just tired of life right now.. Can it get any worse?"
*stomach rumbles*
"Stupid stomach.. now I have to sneak out and grab some food.." I whispered to myself
Luckily, the servants are so kind, they gave me some food to eat, we even have some conversation in my bedroom. One of the nicest servant is Julie, so I definitely spent most of the time with her.
She told me alot of stories, mostly about the past, but one caught my attention, it's the young marriage.
Every princesses/princes who lived in this castle have to get married at young age, just like me..
That scares me, I don't want to marry at young age, especially when I haven't found the one I've been looking for....
"Well, Signe, I guess this is the end of our conversation." She said
"Guess so, we can still talk tomorrow, right?" I askes
"To be honest, I don't know Signe, it seems like your parents escpecially your mother doesn't like me being near a princess like you.." She replied
"Julie, I don't care about my parents anymore, I hate them being over-protective, I need to make my own decision!" I yelled on top of my lungs, frustrated
Suddenly, I heard footsteps,
"Signe, I..I.. have to go n-now.., I think your parents are awake.." Julie whispered, her face showed that she is really scared.
"Fine then... go now, before they sees you!" I whispered also..
That moment when you can escaped because of one second early..
"Signe, did you wake up?"
It was my father..
"Yeah.. dad, I got a nightmare." I lied, If i could tell you, my nightmare is my life right now..
"Good, because we need to talk.."
