Chapter 10 - The Night At The Campfire

Jack's POV
"It's getting dark here, how did time go by so quickly?" I said

"I dunno, maybe because we had fun?" She asked

"Yeah, fun..." I frowned

"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?" She worried

"No no it's fine, I'm just a complicated pirate" I smiled

"Oh.. kay then.. Say, can we get some rest? I'm tired and sleepy" She said

"In the middle of the woods? I thought you don't like being out here, you know, because you are a princess?" I asked

"Well, it's kinda dirty and stuff, but we can find some place to rest, right? Cause I'm not gonna walk another 5 km.." She chuckled

"If you say so, I think I have just what you needed" I said, with a smile because I've found the perfect spot

It was a beautiful night, no rain, no dangerous animals, just me and her, gazing upon the star..

"So.. uhm.. Signe? Can you tell me about yourself? How can you be a princess or something about that?" I asked

"Hum.. sure, but to be honest, my life is kinda boring and sad" She said

"I'm listening" I replied

And then she talked...
And talked...
And talked...
Until she said a part about the forced marriage..

"So yeah, I have to do the forced marriage before you come and saved me" She laughed

"Well then, I'm your hero and you have to do anything that I want" I yelled while laughing. (What? It's in the middle of the woods.. no one will hear Jack XD)

She laughed "No silly, I don't want to do that.. you know it's not nice .. "

"Just kidding.." I said while scratching my neck

"So how about your life Jack? Do you have find the perfect girl for yourself?" She asked

Suddenly, I feel some pressure in my heart. I frozed, nothing to say, nothing to do...

"Uhm.. Jack? Are you okay?" She asked, worried

"I'm...fine...." Suddenly, I felt tears streaming down my face

"Jack.. jack..?! Hey... tell me what's wrong?" She asked again, looking worrier than before

I stood there, doing nothing

"Please, I promised you, You'll be better after you tell me everything. I can keep secrets" She pleaded

Finally, I opened my mouth and started talking

"So.. yeah, I was a lucky pirate before. Was. I met a perfect girl for myself. She was kind, beautiful, and she always told me that I'm the only that she loves. But one day, when I was sailing, I found her cheating on me.. infront of my eyes. That's why I left my city and travelled here." I said

"But... but.. that's not a problem, as long as I get my crystal heart, I can tell who is my loved one" I said while wipping of my tears

"Oh... kay then, let's go to sleep" She said. She seems a little bit shocked..

"Signe?" I asked

"Yeah?" She replied

"Don't you worry about me, I'll be fine" I said with a smile

"Are you sure?" She said, finally with a smile..

"Yes, 100% sure"
