Mum drive me to school a week later. We had settled in perfectly to our new home and it kept me going knowing that dad was coming out to visit in a few weeks. Me and josh are already close friends, and we talk a lot over text. I go to his house sometimes as we'll, he is really the only person around my age that I know. On the way to school, mum was explaining to me the grade system in America, back home I was in year twelve but here I was in the eleventh grade. When we pulled up outside the school, josh was waiting for me to take me to my first class, and he was going to show me around the school, he was the year above, so I felt like some sort of superstar walking round school with him. He walked me to my home base as they called it and I walked in to find a room full of students, this was Josh's home base as well. We sat down together and the teacher came over. She was very happy, it seemed like everyone was happy here, and she shook my hand and gave me a map of the school, she told me I would be her agony aunt and friend if I needed anything, her name was miss Lupica. Josh took me to my first class
"I will meet you here in thirty minutes you'll be ok right?" He said
"I'll be fine thanks for all your help" and I hugged him and hurriedly sat down at one of the desk and pulled out my notebook and planner. A girl walked into the room
"Get out of my seat" I heard a voice come from above me, someone was blocking my light
"Oh I'm sorry is there a seating chart?"
"No, but everyone knows that's my seat."
"Oh I'm sorry I'm new here, I'm grace by the way" I stuck my hand out for her to shake but she ignored it
"Yeah, you can tell your new by your......., cute accent" she said sarcastically
"So I saw you with josh."
"Yeah I actually live next door to him, he's sweet-"
"Yeah and he is also unavailable we hum date, I don't care if your new here isn't it obvious"
Bitch, I didn't know they made those in America. That lesson dragged on and on, I was desperate to ask josh if it was true. When I got out of my lesson he was stood outside my class looking gorgeous as ever, the bitch from before walked out and said
"Hey josh didn't see you last week, thought we were going to meet up" she said shooting a spiteful look at me
"Well Harmen, sometimes I have better things to than to hang out with people like you." She made some sort of inhuman noise and stormed off with her little pack of bitches trailing behind.
"It really is just like the movies you see huh?"
"Pretty much" he laughed
"Let me show you to your locker"
"Ok" we walked quietly down the hallways whilst I was taking everything in
"Here we go" he said, he looked nervous. I opened the full length locker and there were a bunch of flowers in water in there. I opened the card that came with it and it said:

I hope you are enjoying your first day of school,although that might be tough when you have calculus first, I was wondering if maybe sometime you would like to go on a date with me from josh xx
I looked up at him smiling and he hurriedly said
"Only if you want to I mean you don't have to and you probably won't want to but I just thought maybe-"
"Yes" I said and his face was smiling all over and he hugged me and walked me to my next class
