Prom is in three weeks and Dean still hasn't asked Cas. Cas would have already asked Dean had he not been hinting about doing it since prom was first brought up. Cas had been the one to ask last year, so Dean wanted to be the one to do it senior year.

Not to mention Dean has been acting so weird lately, been kind of distant and always seems to be busy.

The house phone rings as Cas is getting ready for school.

"Cas!" Gabriel calls. "Your boyfriend is on the phone!" Cas walks out of his room wearing nothing but his pants. He takes the phone from Gabriel's hand. Gabriel immediately turns and goes to his room. He worked late last night, so he's quite tired and he wants to get some sleep before he starts his shift at the candy shop.

"Hello, Dean." Cas answers.

"Hey, Cas. How'd you sleep?" Dean asks.

"I slept well, why are you calling?" Cas inquires.

"Well, I can't give you a ride to school today, something came up." Dean responds.

"Is everything alright?" Cas asks in concern. "Is Sam okay?"

"No, yeah, everything is fine, I just have a little thing to do, I'll see you when I get there though." Dean reassures.

"Okay, then I guess I'll see you later then," Cas sighs.

"See you, bye." Dean hangs up with a click. Cas sadly puts the phone back on the hook. Dean had said the same thing last night, he couldn't hang out because something came up.

It mildly concerns Cas, but Dean must be doing it for a good reason. He wouldn't just blow Cas off for nothing, or that's what Cas keeps telling himself.

"Hey, Gabe!" Cas calls.

"What?" Gabriel shuffles out of his room,  wearing pajama pants and a t-shirt.

"Can you give me a ride to school, Dean has something and can't." Cas asks hopefully.

"Course, anything for you, bro." Gabriel sighs.

"Thank you, let me get dressed real quick." Cas rushes to his room, throws on a button up shirt and grabs his book-bag. Gabriel waits for him by the front door, keys in hand.

The drive to school is quiet. Cas stares out the window, wondering what Dean is up to.

Gabriel pulls up to the school.

"Thanks, Gabe, I'll try and visit the candy shop later, get some of those honey candies I like." Cas steps out.
He walks toward the entrance, where he sees Sam standing there.

"Hey, Sam," Cas approaches his boyfriend's younger brother.

"Hey, Cas." Sam nods. "How are you this morning?" Sam asks, trying to make conversation.

"I'm okay, I guess. How'd you get to school?" Cas inquires casually.

"Charlie's mom gave me a ride." Sam responds. Charlie is a year younger than Sam, and she's like a sister to Sam and Dean.

"Oh, is everything okay with Dean?" Cas asks.

"Yeah, all's fine." Sam nods.

Cas is about to ask more but loud honking pulls his attention away. Cas glances behind him.  He almost didn't recognize the vehicle because instead of the usual shiny black paint job, it now has yellow strips across the body and two black wires that look oddly like antennae, the car looks like a bee. There also looks to be some kind of writing on the side, but Cas can't quite read what it says. Cas holds his smile as he recognizes the driver. It pulls to a stop right in front of the school entrance, in front of Cas.
