A/N I know I've been trying to do something where before I do a chapter called "meeting ..." I do a chapter based on a present time interaction. But if I do that with Andy, that will mess up this whole thing so...just accept this.

You thought it was interesting that Pete had asked you to come with him to check out Joe's new little drummer boy, but accepts with out question.

You and Pete waited for about ten minutes before he finally showed up. Pete already wasn't impressed.

"Hi, I'm Andy Hurley." He said. The second he opened his mouth you almost had to choke yourself in order not to laugh. His voice sounded like a mouse.

"Holy fuck" you mumbled under your breath. He looked kinda, as Joe would say, killer. He was covered in tattoos, and he had long brown hair, and you weren't going to pretend you didn't notice his muscles.

You got up to shake his hand. Of course he was taller that you. Everyone was. You were only 5 feet. When Pete stood next to him you could tell Andy was still a bit taller. Guess he wasn't that little of a drummer boy.

"I'm Y/N." You said, shaking his hand.

"And I'm Pete. The one you gotta impress to get in." Pete said, not even bothering to shake his hand. "I'm gonna be honest bud, so far ya ain't doin so good."

Before you could say another word, he went to the drums and started playing something very familiar.

It was Grand Theft Autumn/Where is Your Boy. The song you had written for Pete.

Pete sat down and listened. You saw Pete's bass in the corner of his garage. You went and plugged it in and immediately playing with Andy. He coordinated perfectly. You didn't even realize the lyrics slipping out of your mouth.

Andy looked at you for a split second and smiled. He played with such a passion, just like you had. He bounced with ever beat of the drum. His head banging with every pound of its skins. You started jumping around again, just like before. This felt right.

When the song ended, Pete was smiling and nodding. He got up and took his bass out of your hands.

"Don't touch my bass again Hun." He said, unplugging it and putting it away, but still smiling. When he turned to Andy, words weren't even necessary.

Little drummer boy did it.
