Hold onto to me, cause I'm a little unsteady...

Unsteady continues to blast from the speaker but Jacob and I took no notice. We laid splat on the floor trying to calm our breathing. Who ever thought dance would be so tiring. Wait I did.

My face is all red and breathless while Jacob just looks like he is going to pee himself. Probably because he is going to in a second. After working on the dance, Jacob announced that he needed to go to the toilet or how he said it 'the restroom.' So after we at least went through the dance full out once we sat down waiting for the bell to go so he can quickly go. I don't know why he can't go now but he reuses to go. I look at the clock counting down the seconds till the bell goes. 10 seconds, only 10 seconds . However ten seconds felt like ten minutes.

Finally when the bell rang Jacob rushes out of the classroom with not even a goodbye directed to me. He must really need to go to the toilet.

I look down at my choice of clothes and I realise that I need to change. I grab my bottle, take a big gulp of my flavoured water and started to head over to the changing room. As I walk down the crowded hallway, I try not to bump into anyone. I have a peaceful walk to the changing room until someone grabs on to my arm. My first instinct is to scream and slap whoever grabbed me. Big mistake.

" Why do you keep trying to slap me?"

"Grayson why did you grab me? I need to change" I answer the question with a question.

"No time for you to change I'm on a tight schedule and I have to give you a lift." Oh yeah, great now I have to spend a whole car journey with him!

"Anyway, we're also going to ask your mum if you can keep Russell in your house."

"Why my house?"

"Because my would never say yes to keeping a dog in my house. She is absolutely terrified of them."

"Oh okay but I don't know what my mum will say?" I add  while Grayson drags me through the crowd of people. I try to yank my arm from his hand but he wont let go as if I would escape and not go with him home. As if! I need a lift home and I'm not going to let this opportunity go because I don't like him. I'll probably ask Eva or something tomorrow as she starts school.

The drive to our houses is awkward and silent. Neither of us knows what to say to each other. Russell is sitting on my lap but knows something is off. I turn the radio on to interrupt the silence.  That's when I hear treat you better on. Oh Shawn, what I would do to date someone like you. I start to hum along to the son, tapping my feet to the music. Grayson notices this and puts the volume louder. Suddenly, out of nowhere I start to sing quietly. Grayson looks at me weirdly but then decides to sing along. Note to self, Grayson is secretly a Shawn Mendes fan.

When the chorus comes both of us is singing at the top of our lungs, me dancing around in my seat.

"TELL ME WHY ARE WE WASTING TIME, ON ALL YOUR WASTED CRYING, WHEN YOU SHOULD BE WITH ME INSTEAD!"

Soon after the song is finished and I'm out of breath. Drake is now playing on the radio and Grayson turned the volume down again.

"I never knew you could sing?" I ask with shock evident on my face.

"Yeah, it's a hidden talent of mine. All the ladies swoon when I start to sing ."Ignoring the last part I continue to talk.

"Well you are really good, but not as good as Shawn Mendes!"

"What about you, you have the voice of a dying cat.' He exclaims and I look at him with mock anger.

"Well I like to think that I have a good voice, so good that your mundane ears can't take how beautiful I sound!" I say, a little bit offended by his words, however I brush it off. He chuckles but keeps quiet.
