LAURA
Laura sat on her colorful bed in her room with hot pink walls. It was quiet, not a sound in the house. Everyone had already left after her party, and Ellen and Damiano including Ariana, Vanessa and Teresa were already sound asleep. But Laura was awake thinking about her birthday party and her gifts. She had her door closed and her night lamp turned on but the rest was darkness and slumber. Laura thought about Ross' gift to her. The song was supposedly a ''friendship song'' yet the lyrics to it were so...romantic. Laura leaned over to her night stand and grabbed the folded piece of paper that Ross gave her. She started reading the lines aloud, she was going to decipher the meaning of the song just a little deeper.
"Oh no, here we go hear your voice on the radio like every single song is about you." She read.
"Every second that we spent lots of mess stuck up in my head, got me so distracted and confused. Well, that doesn't exactly sound very friendly." Laura spoke to herself.
"Baby I think I've lost my mind feels like you crashed into my life, I keep on losing track of time. I'm so messed up yeah, I'm so messed up. Lost your mind Ross? I think I have too." She added.
"I can't remember what I did tonight or even yesterday, like dude where's my car excuse me what's my name. Someone gave me these clothes I can't remember who, my mind's a total blank, but I just can't forget about you." That was the last line Laura read before she finally folded it up. She felt like she was making a giant discovery and she didn't want to do it when she was tired and confused.

Laura awoke and the first thing that came to mind was the song she was deciphering last night. She had to continue with it now, she had no idea what time it was nor did she care. But she knew that song was more important to her right now than breakfast time. Laura grabbed the squared paper from her night stand and unfolded it.
"Think that it's coming back something about the time we had wished that we would have been recorded. So right super tight can't recall a thing last night but woke up with a smile in the morning." Laura groaned. "What does this mean? Do you like me, do you not like me?"Laura spoke to herself in frustration.
She read the rest of the lyrics and sighed. Just then, one particular line caught her attention. "Caught in my head, can't get you out? Feels like you crashed into my life? Forget about you? Laura you're an idiot!" She exclaimed in ironic happiness then heard a knock at her door. Laura stood up and opened it. "Hey, Teresa. Is it breakfast time?" Laura asked. "Yeah, Aunt E and Uncle D want you down in the kitchen to eat with us, and Vanessa. She is still in her room." Teresa explained. "I reckon she is sleeping, I'll wake her up then I'll come down for breakfast." Laura said, Teresa nodded then walked back down the stairs. She walked to her sister's door and knocked. She heard a muffled 'come in' through the other side of the door and then she opened the door.
"Hey there, little sister. Did you enjoy your party as much as I did?" Vanessa asked as she sat up from her bed. Laura's hunch was correct, she was sleeping. "It was the best party in the world. Did I wake you, Vann?" Laura asked. Vanessa shook her head. "Okay, so I wanted to talk to you about something," Laura said after a moment. "Like what?" Vanessa asked. "It will sort of take a while and right now we are expected down stairs for breakfast..." Laura said then pointed with her thumb over her shoulder to the door. "Sure, let's go. You can tell me all about it when we get back from eating." Vanessa said then walked out the door towards the kitchen with Laura following behind. She was so thankful for such an amazing sister. Her sister was indeed her best friend.
