Ross sat back in his bed running his fingers through his hair. It was over. After he found out from Ariana that Laura was going on a date with someone, the game was over. Laura was telling the truth about pretending to like him. Ross had to deal with it and forget about his feelings for Laura.

But every time Laura talked to that, that... tanned, muscled idiot, he cringed. He couldn't tell her to stop talking about Jack; hell, he couldn't say anything bad about Jack at all, it would give him away.

"Jack is so hot!"

"Jack is the sweetest person ever!"

"Jack compared me to a strawberry!"

Anything that came out of Laura's mouth had something to do with Jack. Jack this and Jack that. Laura didn't belong with Jack, she belonged with Ross. Ross kept asking himself the question: "What do I do now?" What was Ross supposed to do? The girl he loved liked someone else.

I'm in love with someone else's girl... Ross thought and chuckled to himself. The thought of having to deal with Laura's relationship with someone else pained him. It was like, having to sit back and watch some thief steal your belongings. Laura didn't actually belong to him, though. He groaned; it was all his fault. If he hadn't denied her, then she wouldn't be with someone else. No matter what happened, Ross had to show Laura his feelings.

He sighed, his doubts creeping into the plan. What if she doesn't feel the same way? What if he ruins their friendship? What if he puts their careers in jeapordy? What if they are too uncomfortable to ever speak to each other again?

He needed to tell someone about this. Someone who won't make him feel embarrassed, someone who knows about relationships, and someone who won't automatically jump to the abolishment of his feelings for her and warn him not to fall in love.

"You needed something?" Rydel asked as she closed the door to Ross' room. Ross nodded and started explaining things to Rydel. Rydel nodded, taking the information of Ross' dilemma.

"If you want my honest and open opinion... I think you should make your own decisions. Ross, you've always been a sure person; don't listen to those two, listen to yourself." Rydel said. Ross was pleased with Rydel's advice. It was what he wanted to hear, it doubted the idea that he'd ruin his relationship with Laura if he confessed. It was what he was waiting to hear.

"Rydel, do you think this is too much of a risk to take?"

"It's not the end of the world, Ross. Even though Rocky and Riker made it seem that way."

"Thank you. I know I can always count on you." Ross said. He needed someone, Rydel, to tell him it was going to be okay instead of shut him down and fill his head with negativities.

He thanked his older sister and before she was out of his room, but she stopped to mention one more thing.

"You said Laura "moved on" right?"

"Yeah, why?" Ross asked with curiosity . "If, by anything, you get discouraged, maybe you should try it too. " Rydel suggested.

"How come?"

"I'm just saying if you do decide to keep your thoughts to yourself, you can do the same thing she did; move on." Rydel explained and extended her arms from her body to gesture "moving on".

"I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the help." Ross said considering the possibility with a heavy heart. His eyes revealed his feelings about moving on; 100% "blue" about it. It was the worst, and bitterly the best solution to the problem. It was the exact opposite desired solution to answer the "word problem" of Ross' choices.

"I have a friend who is single. Her name is Hope. If you decide not to tell Laura, I can give you her number. She's a nice girl." Rydel pitched, then finally departed.

There was only one thing left think about...

I had to shorten this chapter because it didn't make sense. The other half is already set up in chapter 20. I just need to write in a scene so the story will flow correctly.
