Laura woke up that morning with a smile on her face. She couldn't stop thinking about Ross as she moved on with her morning routine. His beautiful eyes, his dazzling smile... and just how incredibly sweet he is! Laura blushed as she thought of him.

"Practicing for a role?" Vanessa asked as she leaned by the door frame of Laura's bedroom door. Laura rolled her eyes. "No. I was... thinking." She said then smiled involuntarily. "What are you thinking about? Or maybe who." Vanessa inquired as she sat on Laura's bed.

"Is it a boy?" Vanessa questioned. "Maybe..." Laura said shyly. "The last time I saw you with this face was when you were thinking about George Clooney. Who is this mystery man?" Vanessa teased. Laura shrugged, "I never had a real chance with him anyway. He's 52 and I'm seventeen." Laura joked. "So, I'm guessing the other boy on that list is Ross?" Vanessa said with a playful smile.

"Vanessa, I don't know what to do!" Laura sighed. "Don't be so dramatic. If the feelings are mutual, then just ask him out." Vanessa stated obviously. "It's as simple as that."

"You know, you're right. I'm going to take action! I'm going to ask Ross on a date."

"You cannot go on a date with her!" Riker objected. "Why not?" Ross asked with irritation and confusion. "Because, you are both going to end up like Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Co-stars who decided to go out, but their schedules got too busy, and now their relationship is just an awkward memory." Riker explained. "But, what can I say? I like Laura, man." Ross said in disregard of Riker's warning, and how he knows so much about the stars' relationship.

"Ross, both of you are actors. If you have a rocky relationship, could you imagine what it would be like if both of you were cast in the same movie, or TV show as main characters?" Riker warned. "It would be fan-freaking-tastic." Ross said, still not taking Riker seriously. "If you don't want your friendship with Laura to end in chaos, I suggest you listen to me." Riker urged.

"I think Riker might have a point." Rocky spoke up from the love seat he was sitting on. Ross sighed in frustration. "Could you really guarantee a safe trip with Laura? What if it all goes down hill? Do you think that's worth risking your friendly atmosphere?" Rocky asked, and Ross smirked at the work "friendly". "There is nothing "friendly" going on between me and Laura." Ross chuckled. "Pervert." Rocky muttered.

"Guys, all I am saying is that Laura might like me too. As more than just a friend." Ross said. "That's bad!" Rocky exclaimed tensely. "Think about it, Ross. We're only trying to protect you." Riker said sincerely. "Protect me from what? Not being in a relationship with an amazing girl who might like me as much as I like her?" Ross cried.

"Ross, think about it. You might really end up screwing things with Laura and you won't have anyone to blame but yourself. Think of how everything will change if something bad happens. Your friendship with Laura is too precious for you to mess up." Riker persuaded. Ross ran his finger through his hair in exasperation. After a few minutes of debating with himself whether he should listen to his brothers, or listen to himself, he finally spoke up.

"I have one question. What if, things actually do work out with Laura?"

"That's a one in a million chance. I'd be more concerned about not messing with a healthy friendship." Riker said. With a heavy heart, and a bad feeling, he decided not to get romantically involved with Laura.

"Alright, I won't ask her out. Thanks a lot, guys." Ross sighed, giving up the battle with his brothers. They both told him it was the right thing to do and then left .

But the question Ross was still left with was, "What if things worked out with Laura?" how would he feel about that? And why it didn't feel like the "right" thing.
