Chapter 2

Emily's POV

"Who's that?" I asked Hannah.

"Him?"

"Yeah" i nodded.

"That's Derek. School's biggest player"

"Oh"

"You don't like him. Right?"

"I don't know. He's kinda cute."

"Don't even think about it. He's taken by her." She pointed to the girl sitting on his lap.

"Hey" Said this brunette.

"Hey Bethany. This is Emily." said Hannah

"Hi Emily" Bethany waved.

"Hi" I smiled. She looked friendly.

"Are you new here?" Asked Bethany.

I nodded yes.

"C'mon lets got he bell is about to ring."

I had my last 2 classes with Bethany. The day went by pretty fast. We met Hannah by

our lockers after school.

"See you guys tomorrow" With that Bethany left.

"Do you have a phone?" Asked Hannah

"Yeah. Why?"

"What's your number?" I gave her my number and she gave me hers.

Then i saw my mom's car.

"Here's my ride. Bye Hannah"

"Bye Emily" I got into the car.

"Hi sweetie" She smiled

"Hi mom" I smiled back

"How as school? Did you make any new friends?" She asked.

"Good. Yeah"

"Oh that's good"

"How many friends?"

"Two" I replied feeling kinda annoyed. She always does this. Every time i go to a new school

she asks me all these questions.
