Bag? Check. Knife inside the bag? Check. A ton of beef jerky? Check. That's all I need. I could feel my best friend's disapproving eyes burning into me after she glanced into the leather pouch, "that's it?!"
"Uh-huh! Why, am I missing something?" She rolled her eyes as she swung a leather bag over her shoulder. I could hear metal pots clanking inside, "you just seem... so unprepared!"
"Oh, hush now. I thought I was over packing, to be honest. Trust me, that knife will be our savior."
"Remi, do we seriously have to do this?" My eyes froze onto her face in an icy stare.
"Yes. We must do this. You and I both know how important this is to me." She looked away in thought.

"I think we should at least have to more people with us... the more people-" I stopped her.
"The more mouths to feed," I stated.

"Well..." I shook my head, knowing that her ideas have always won me over, "you know, fine. But... these other two people have to be from the other two tribes."
"Remi, are you insane?! Neither of the other tribes would ever listen to us!"
"Not if we can persuade them..."
"How?!"
"You'll see..."
Hi everyone! I'm sorry this book has been on hold for so long, I just have NO inspiration at the moment. I wanted to get a chapter out, sorry if it feels forced. I just needed a transition. I hope to get a real chapter out soon.
