Chapter 5

Your POV
I finally made it to the mall and found Jess. We all started walking and we found a fountain. Shelby stopped us and pointed kind of to the right. Ashley realized. With her British accent, she said, "oh I forgot we need to go this way." She turned around and lead us the other direction. I turned around and looked in the way Shelby pointed. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. "What was that?" I whispered to Jess. She didn't answer. She turned to Ashley and whispered something to her. Ashley nodded slightly after Jess finished. "That was Skymedia, the popular group at our school." She air quoted 'popular.' "Why are we going away from them?" I asked. "They are idiots." Ashley responded. We had all stopped. "Not Max." Shelby butted in. "Shut up," Ashley turned to Shelby then back to me, "you don't want to talk to them or-" "Yo, Ash." Some guy yelled behind us. "What do you want?" Ashley responded. We all turned to a group of 5 guys. The main guy who called out Ashley looked at all of us. He spotted me and looked back to Ashley. "Who's the new girl?" The guy asked. Someone from their group can behind me and put their arm around me. "Yeah, ash." He said. I slightly turn my headed to a red haired guy. "Get away from her, Red." Ash said. Red put his arms up in defense then walked back over to the main guy. "None of your business." Jess stepped up. The main guy turned back to me. Man, I really want to know his name. "You, he nodded his head towards me, "what's your name?" I was actually kind of scared. Okay, I was really scared. I managed to mutter out, "(y/n)." "Last name." He spat out. "(L/n)." I muttered again. "Ross." He snapped his finger. "On it." Ross, I'm assuming, said then got on his phone. "Oh shit." Ross said and showed the main guy his phone. "Popular girl." He said then winked at me. "See ya." He said and smirked at me. What was that? The rest of the guys followed. "Bye, Max." Shelby called out. Max was another red head who nodded back to Shelby. "Okay who is everyone?" I ask. "The main guy is Adam who goes by Sky, it's stupid, then there's Red who put his arm around you. His real name is Michael. Ross is the Internet and social geek know-it-all and Shelby's cousin. Max the other red head. And John who goes by Barney." Ashley responded. "Like the dinosaur?" I ask. "I never thought of it that way." Shelby said. I could tell that Shelby wasn't the brightest of them.

That's that for this chapter. I tried to make it longer to make up for the delay. Also, I don't think Shelby is stupid I just want to give her a new character. Also I think I'm mixing up Grease, Mean Girls, and YouTube.
