Above is a picture of Alec.

"What time is it?" I ask no one in particular.

"Midnight," Patrick replies.

I was shocked to hear that it was actually pretty early and we still had a couple hours to kill. "What do you guys wanna do now?" I ask.

"Um, I think you should go home and get some sleep," Alec says giving me a look.

I raise an eyebrow at him and shake my head. "Nuh-Uh. Maybe I can't be doing extreme stuff right now but if we're all here why don't we play a game?"

Everyone shrugs. "How about Truth or Dare?" Emily suggests.

"Sure. Who wants to go first?" I ask.

"I'll go," Patrick says. "Rachel, truth or dare?"

She gives him a weary look before answering with truth.

"Who do you like?"

Rachel immediately blushes a deep red. "It's kinda obvious, but I don't know if I should tell you guys," she says pointing to the boys.

"Oh c'mon! We won't tell!" Patrick says mocking a gossip obsessed, teenage girl.

Rachel rolls her eyes and laughs. "Dean."

"OH EM GEE, I KNEW IT!" Patrick squeals which brings all of us to laughter.

"Okay, Emily truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Are you a virgin?"

Emily giggles but blushes, "No, I'm not."

Rachel and I burst into laughter and eventually, Emily joins us.

"Ash, truth or dare?"

I think for a while before deciding to play it safe and choose truth.

"Would you ever give up your ways and become a 'girly girl'?"

"Hell no. Those girls are annoying," I reply flatly.

Emily nods and I look around the circle for my victim. My eyes land on Alec and I smirk.

"Alec, truth or dare?"

"Dare."

I smirk. "I Ashley Robinson, dare you, Alec Miller, to run around the house outside at full speed while balancing a book on your head. If the book falls, you pick it up and resume. Oh, and you have to do it with only your boxers on."

Alec's jaw drops at the sound of the dare and I giggle. "Fine," he grunts. "But this could take awhile."

I smile. "We have time."

Alec makes his way outside and strips down to his underwear. Even I had to admit,  he had a good body.

We all follow him and I breathe in the cold, fresh air when I step outside. I always liked the nighttime. The air was crisp, and there usually were no people. It was...peaceful.

He places the book on his head and it wobbles a bit but eventually, it steadies. He takes a deep breath and breaks into a full sprint.

Surprisingly, he lasts a few seconds before it falls to the ground. He repeats the process ten more times before he groans out loud. "I GIVE UP!" he screams and then quickly grabs his clothes and throws them back on.

Patrick, Emily, Rachel, Hunter, and I are all crouched over in fits of laughter. Just watching him attempt and then fail the dare was the best thing I had seen all night.

We slowly make our way back up to Hunter's room all of us in various degrees of pain from all the laughing we did. Alec is sitting there with a grumpy look on his face trying not to laugh.

"Whatever," he grunts. "Hunter, truth or dare?"

"Dare. I'm not scared."

Alec thinks for a second. "Can you do 100 push-ups without stopping?"

Hunter scoffs. "Of course. Have you seen me?"

I roll my eyes at his modesty. Note the sarcasm.

"Really? I doubt it." Alec challenges

"Try me," Hunter says smirking. God, I hate that smirk.

"Fine," Alec says. "Do it."

Hunter shrugs and then turns to Emily, Rachel, and I with a smirk. "Shirt on or off ladies?" He asks wiggling his eyebrows.

"Off!" Emily screams at the same time Rachel and I say,

"On!" I frown at her, but she's not looking at me. She too busy watching Hunter take his shirt off.

I roll my eyes then turn to him and my jaw drops. Holy sweet mother of God.

Right before my eyes was a strong six-pack. The girls and I were practically drooling.

Hunter smirks at me. "Like what you see, Sweetheart?"

I roll my eyes and stick my tongue out at him. Yes, I know. Very mature.

Hunter gets down in a plank position, and starts his dare.

~~~100 Push-Ups Later~~~
"And...100!" Hunter says cheerfully as he stands up barely out of breath.
All of our jaws have dropped to the ground.
"B-But...How?" Alec asks in bewilderment.
"Dude. What did you expect? I'm basically a Greek God," Hunter smirks and Alec just scowls.
"Modesty, ever heard of it?" I mutter under my breath.
"What was that, Sweetheart?" Hunter asks smirking.
I roll my eyes. "You probably couldn't hear me over the sound of your big ego."
Hunter winks. "You know what else is big? My di-"
"OKAY, WE GET IT!" Rachel says loudly, interrupting. Hunter chuckles then turns his gaze back on me.
"Sweetheart, truth or dare?"
"Dare. I'm not scared." I mock Hunter.
He smirks and I instantly regret my decision. "I, Hunter Novell, dare you, Ashley Robinson, to change your appearance and attitude. You are to make yourself appear more like a girl for the rest of the year. You also have to spend that year with me. If you fall in love, then you lose the dare. If you don't, you win and you can make me do whatever you want me to do." I gasp as he finishes.
What kind of dare was this? He knew that I am not your average teenage girl, I'm more of a tomboy. But falling in love with Hunter Novell? Puh-lease. I can resist him. I'm just not sure if I want to spend my year being a completely different person. But I can't back down from a dare, I would lose my reputation.
Hunter smirks again as he watches my face. He can tell I'm thinking hard. "Backing out are we? What happened to the girl who never backs down from a dare?"
"I never said I was backing down," I snap.
"Well if you're too scared-"
"I'm not scared! I'll do it. I'll do your stupid dare, Novell."
He smirks and I scowl.
"You know, sweetheart, I'm pretty hard to resist. Some might even say, irresistible," he taunts.
"Oh God no. Not falling in love with you is the easiest part of this dare. I just don't know if I'll be able to make it through the year being someone I'm not," I answer.
"If you say so, sweetheart."
"Don't call me that!"
"Sweetheart."
Little did I know I just agreed to the dare that would forever change my life. For better or for worse, I couldn't tell.
