"Hop on!" I called to Maddie as I pushed the cart through the exit. Maddie hops on the front of the cart and I start running towards my car.
"Vroom vroom mothafuckas!" I yelled as we got close to the car. The sky looked so beautiful when the sun began to set. It was one of the rare beautys in this small town.
You see we live in a small town with not all that many people. It has always been small. There is one church around the corner from our only walmart. I like it that way, but everyone has wanted to get away from the usual at some point.
"So what's the plan for tonight? Old school 7th grade Friday night?" I asked while starting the car. I remember how I used to climb down the tree by my window to sneak to her house at 11:00pm just to watch Lion King. Blanket forts and a classic Disney movie is the best!
"Of course!!" She said getting excited. She is so damn cute man if only you could see her UGH! She is so amazing!
"But don't you think we are a little old for Lion King now?" Umm did I say amazing? Maybe I need to rephrase that...
"WHAT?? you are NEVER too old for LION KING!! Are you crazy?" I pretended to be angry and shocked.
"Haha I guess your right but if we are going to watch old movies then lets watch The Never Ending Story okay?" Okay yep she IS truly AMAZING!!
"Yes! Of course!!" I can tell this is going to be a great night!

Maddie was putting the snacks into different bowls and I was busy gathering every pillow and blanket she owned and throwing then into her living room.
"Hey! Do you want me to grab your mattress too?" I called to the kitchen. "Yeah sure go ahead!" I heard her yell back. I grabbed he mattress and flipped it upright and heard a thud.
Me being the curious person I am looked around to see what had fallen and it was a black journal with a red ribbon book mark sticking out of the top. I couldn't just put it back I'm too nosy!
I picked up the book quickly realizing that it is a diary. Should I? Probably not but I wanna know...I flipped throught a few pages not really reading it until I saw my name. "How I feel about Alex" was written at the top of the page.
"What the-" my mumbling cut short by the sound of footsteps I quickly threw the book on the box spring and started pulling the mattress towards the door.
"Hey what's taking so long? Popcorn is getting cold dork!" She said walking into the room.
"Sorry. Working on it." I laughed a little nervous of wether she witnessed what happened.
We finally built out fort and put on the best movie to ever exist...The Never Ending Story. We were half way through the movie and Maddie had placed her head on my chest and was nodding off into sleep.
I really want to know what that page says...but I would rather hear it from her beautiful lip rather than a piece of paper that I was never meant to see.
Soon I had finally let sleep take over my body after contemplating what the page might say..I just hope it's nothing too bad.
