Jade's P.O.V.

When I got home, Shawn came in the room and welcomed me home with a hug. Drake came into the room seconds later. He had taken the bus home, for some reason he never walks home from school.

"Shawn, guess what?!" Drake practically yelled.

"Calm down, what?" Shawn replied.

"Max asked Jade out!" Drake answered, excitedly.

"Really?!" Shawn said, looking at me and smiling. I was going to tell Shawn about Max, until Drake had to open his fat mouth!

"Yeah." I answered, smiling back at Shawn.

"Finally! I was wondering when you guys were going to start dating!" Shawn explained. There was a sudden knock at the door, and I went to answer it. Standing in the door was Alice and Rachel, along with our other friends Leslie, Carter, and Blake.

"Hey, guys!" I greeted, giving them all hugs, as they came in.

"Hi. Want to go hunting?" Blake asked.

"Sure." My brothers and I answered. We all ran towards the woods, phasing into our wolves. It didn't take us long to find a herd of deer, and hunt one down. Soon we were eating our prey. Once we finished eating, Alice started speaking.

"So, Jade, Drake, Shawn how have you guys been?" She asked.

"We've been good." Shawn answered, as he sat on his haunches and licked his muzzle clean.

"Good." Alice barked. Once we finished our conversations we all went home.

Max's P.O.V.

After I arrived home, I again had nothing to do, so I just decided to play games on my phone. My parents weren't home, so it was quiet, and the only noise in the house was the game on my phone. Soon my parents were home, and they went to cook supper.

A couple weeks later after school was over, I ran up to Jade and gave her a hug.

"What's up?" She asked, smiling her beautiful smile.

"Nothing, I just wanted to know if you wanted to hang out with me." I replied, smiling back.

"Okay, so where are we going?" Jade asked, still smiling.

"I was thinking we could go to the bowling alley." I replied, scratching the back of my neck.

"Alright." Jade said, taking my hand in hers, as our fingers intertwined. We walked all the way to the bowling alley. Once we were there, I paid our way in and sat down at a table. "This place is pretty cool!" Jade exclaimed.

"Yeah, I used to come here with my brother." I replied. Jade gave me a confused look. "What?" I said.

"I thought you said you were an only child." She answered.

"Well, I did have a brother, but he died a couple years ago..... I just didn't want to talk about it." I said remembering the painful memory.

"What happened?" Jade asked sympathetically. "Well, if you don't mind me asking." She added. I smiled at her, and decided to tell her.

"Well, we were on our way to my brother's girlfriend's house for her party, and one of his friends had picked us up." I explained, as I saw a plain picture in my head of me and my brother getting into the car.

"Did you have an accident?" Jade asked.

"No. There's more." I replied. Jade waited for me to speak again. "When my brother and I got to the party, we went over to his girlfriend to wish her a happy birthday. After that, we sat around talking, dancing, and eating." I said, continuing the story. "A little while later, there was a loud gunshot. We quickly ran to hide, but as we were running there was another gunshot. When we got to our hiding place, I looked back, and my brother was in the middle of the lawn." I said, staring at the floor. "I crawled over to him once the gunshots had stopped, and I tried to wake him up. Finally my brother's eyes opened, and he had told me I was the best brother he could ask for and he loved me. After that he closed his eyes, and went completely still. He didn't wake up. I called the police and my parents. The police caught the guy, and brought him to jail. A week or two later, we had my brother's funeral." I said, as the story ended. I was still staring at the floor flinching at the horrible memory, on the verge of tears, and I tried my hardest to keep them back. Jade placed a hand on my arm and caressed it with her thumb. I looked back up at her, with tears in my eyes. Jade looked into my eyes, and gave me a tight hug to calm me down. When she pulled away she looked down at my arm.

"What's this?" She asked pointing at a scar on my arm.

"Oh, that's a scar I got when a bullet hit my arm, when the gun fired at the party." I replied, running a finger over it.

"Oh." She replied. "It must have hurt." She added.

"No, not really. I didn't notice it until my brother's girlfriend pointed it out." I chuckled. Jade just nodded and stared at the floor. It was silent for a moment, until Jade finally spoke up.

"What was your brother's name?" She asked.

"Kurt." I replied. Jade nodded again and looked over. I looked to where she was staring, and saw that she was looking at some arcade games. "You want to play?" I asked her. She turned to look at me and smiled.

"Sure." She replied. I smiled and took her hand, and we headed toward the games. I watched her, as she played the games. It made me laugh whenever she won a game. She would smile, laugh, and give me a bear hug. She was so cute! After she pulled away from the hug, we looked into each other's eyes, and found ourselves leaning in. Soon our lips touched, and we stood there for a while, until we pulled away.

Jade's P.O.V.

I had no idea what was happening, it was like some kind of force. Max and I were suddenly leaning in. When we met we stood there kissing for a good minute, until we pulled away to catch our breath. We stood there for a moment smiling, and looking into each other's eyes.

"Well." Max said, smiling, a laugh escaping his mouth. "I should get you home." He added. I chuckled and nodded, as he put his arm around me, and led me home.

When we arrived, Max kissed my cheek and gave me a hug. "See you tomorrow." I gushed.

"Okay." Max smiled and headed home. When I walked through the door Carter, Blake, Alice, Rachel, and Leslie were sitting in the living room with my brothers.

"Hey, where have you been?" Carter asked getting up to hug me.

"I was at the bowling alley with Max." I replied smiling.

"Ooh, did you bowl?" Shawn asked.

"No, we sat down at a table, talked, and played some games." I said, blushing at the memory.

"Was that it?" Alice asked.

"No." I said. Rachel gasped, and told me to tell what happened. "We may or may not have kissed." I blushed.

"AW." The whole group exclaimed.

"You guys are so cute together!" Drake said.

"Yeah, you two are a great couple." Shawn gushed. I blushed even more and sat down, hiding my red face in my hands, embarrassed from all the gushy comments. After that, we sat and talked, until everyone went home, and we went to bed.
