"Ohio!" Washington exclaimed. "C'mon! I'm here to rescue you! The Reds and Blues and Carolina are out distracting the rest! Hurry!" he told her and Ohio looked from Wash to Felix and then back to Wash. This was it. The moment when she had to make her choice. "Naomi! Please!" Felix held out a hand towards her. "Talia!" Felix looked at her with hope in his eyes, even though he thought she'd never choose him. Washington extended a hand towards her. "C'mon Ohio! We have to leave!" Washington told her. "It's time you made your choice Talia!" Felix told her. "So who's it gonna be Talia?! Me? or Washington?!" Felix yelled at her as another explosion could be heard. "Ohio Please!" Wash pleaded and Ohio looked from one to the other. It was now or never. "It's your choice Talia! Just make sure you won't have any regrets at the end of the day!" Felix told her. Ohio nodded, tears forming in her eyes. It was now or never.

Suddenly, as another explosion was heard, Ohio’s life flashed before her eyes. More specifically, her life with Washington and Felix. It played like a movie in her head, side by side. Everything from the first kiss with both of them to their very last moments together, to finding them again. “Washington…” she breathed and walked up to him, and Felix could feel his heart shatter into a thousand tiny pieces. Ohio hugged Washington and removed his helmet. She kissed his cheek. “I’m sorry” she whispered in his ear, confusing him. “What do y-…” he started but was cut off by Ohio kicked him in the chest and out of the building. She quickly used her armour enhancement and tied a vine that was hanging outside of the building to his feet. As he was dangling on the side of the building, she grabbed his helmet. “Catch…” she said, throwing it towards him.Felix looked at her, as confused as Wash was. “Talia…” he breathed as he was making his way over to her, carefully removing his helmet. She turned to look at him, a slight smile on her lips. “Isaac…” she said as she walked over to meet him. Once by him she grabbed his hand. “Does this mean…. What about Wash…” he questioned; unsure of what had just happened. “It was always you…. And It will always be just you…” she said before pressing her lips to his. He hesitated for a second before kissing her back, passionately. Ohio’s arms went around his neck, pulling him closer, as Felix’s arms went around her waist, doing the same. They soon pulled apart, Felix resting his forehead against hers. “I never, in a million years, thought you’d take me back. Not after what I did… not when he was here…” he said in disbelief, a smile tugging on the corners of his mouth. Ohio grabbed the necklace and lifted it, looking down at it. “There was a reason that I kept this…” she said quietly. “Isaac Gates… Would you like to try this again?” she asked, looking into his eyes. “Like you even have to ask…" he said as he bent down to kiss her again.
Ohio stopped him by putting a finger on his lips. “Remember… You have a lot to make up for” she said and Felix just smiled at her. “Yes ma’am.” He said with a chuckle and went in for another kiss, but was this time interrupted by a dark voice calling his name. “Felix! What are you doing?” Locus asked him and Felix turned his head to look at his companion. “What does it look like?” he asked, raising an eyebrow, making Locus visibly roll his eyes in his helmet. Felix sighed as he let go of Ohio. “Don’t worry… she’s made her choice.” Felix said as he put his helmet back on, looking at Ohio who did the same. “Oh… About time… We have work to do. The Reds and Blues…-“ Locus started but Ohio cut him off. “We know. They’re here, but if I’m correct they just wasted a bunch of resources on rescuing someone who chose to stay.” She stated and Felix agreed. “Yeah, they shouldn’t have come here. But if their plan had worked and you’d have gone with him… they’d need a distraction to get back unscathed.” Felix said and felt a smile tug at the corners of his mouth. “They’ll never leave a man behind. Maybe one of the soldiers but not say… Washington.” He said and turned around to the hole in the wall behind them.
When Wash heard Felix’s plan he started to silently curse. “Shit, shit, shit shit… Fuck!” he called covered his mouth with the hand that was not holding his helmet. He quickly put it on and grabbed his pistol. He then looked at it quizzically. “What were you planning on doing with that Wash…” he quietly scolded himself as he holstered it again and started looking for something to cut the vine with. “Gun, no… pistol… knife… Knife…!” he said and grabbed his combat knife and grabbed a hold of the vine around his ankle. He started rubbing it against it and soon he heard footsteps approaching. “Wash…” A soft voice called after him and he felt his heart break. “Ohio…” he whispered and soon saw her poking her head over the ledge. Soon after the vine snapped and he fell. “I don’t think I thought this through…!” he yelled as he fell and closed his eyes.
Ohio watched him fall and saw another person at the bottom, catching him. “Carolina…” she breathed. She quickly withdrew and leaned against the wall. Felix took this as an opportunity to peer over the edge himself. “Of fucking course.” He cursed. “Whatever… Let them go. We can still win this. The map… we go to the location now!” he called and looked at Locus. “Felix…-“ he started but Felix, in his rage, cut him off. “Now!”
Once at the place where the map had shown them, they found it to be a huge jungle temple. They meet up with one of the scientists and a Space Pirate who was there to make sure nothing happened to the scientist. Locus nodded towards the Space Pirate, indicating for him to leave, them doing the same towards Ohio. The Space Pirate walked towards Ohio, as if to bring her with him when he left. “Excuse me? I’m not going anywhere.” She stated and Locus sighed. “I still don’t trust her…” he told Felix who waved a hand for the Space Pirate to leave, which he did, then he turned towards the scientist. “What did you find?” he asked making Locus groan in frustration. “This… huh, well… where do I even begin?” the scientist started hesitantly. “Well, you could start with what it is” Felix said, emphasising the last word. The scientist nodded and sighed before he started to explain. “It’s a central hub. Some sort of… device connected to the rest of the temples on the planet; that’s our best guess at least, but this energy source in the center is… something else.” He stated. “Can it be weaponized?” Felix asked. “No, no, no, no, no… The energy here is reminiscent of the teleportation devices we studied to make the cubes. We think it’s a gateway.” He explained, making Felix raise an eyebrow and Locus to become a bit more interested. “To where?” Locus asked. “Well… that is the question of the day now, isn’t it?”
The three of them was now looking at the glowing ‘gateway’. Felix looked around at everyone from Locus and Ohio to the Space Pirates and scientists. “So…. Anyone care to take the first step?” he asked, dragging out the ‘o’ in ‘so’. “I would… not advice that.” One of the scientists were quick to say. “We’ve been doing our best to decipher the text inscribed on the temple walls. It’s all very biblical in tone. Lots of symbolism, but it does seem this gateway has some… well… rules.” He continued. “Rules?” Ohio asked quizzically. “The text is very specific. ‘Only as true warrior may enter; a being of great strength and mental clarity’.” The scientist answered Ohio’s question. “And what would happen to a man who failed to meet these requirements?” Locus asked cautiously. “We don’t know that yet…” the scientist admitted making Felix sigh. “Well let’s find out… shall we?” Felix said as he grabbed one of the Space Pirates walking past by his collar before kicking him into the beam, him being gone in a flash.
