Poem Fifty-One ♬ - I Still Haven't Cried

I've had a while to get used to it,
Though it's not sinking in,
It's as if I'm forgetting it.

Still, a similar event, the last of you I'll see,
It will be a while,
And in the end I hope you still love me.

And, even though I know it to be true,
My brain gets it, but not my heart,
It hasn't gotten to me, that I won't see much of you.

I still haven't cried,
Even though that's a few months over due.
And ever since I've been wondering why.

I'm happy for you,
On the next part of your life,
But my heart doesn't believe it to be true.

I still have not shed a single tear,
I came close, but nothing,
I just hope you have a great school year.

Thank you, for all that you do,
But I still haven't cried.
And in the end, I still know that I love you.

Good luck, have fun,
My friend, my love,
And I'll see you next when school's done.

My heart still believes we're kids,
But we're not, we've grown.
I haven't believed that, and it's about time my heart did.
