Dex woke up strapped down to a gurney of some sort. From what he could see he was in the back of an ambulance. He shifted slightly trying to move and a sudden pain ripped through his entire body. He screamed in agony, his back throbbing.
"You might wanna stop moving pal." A voice came from somewhere above his head. His restraints prevented him from looking at them.
"You already broke a wing. Don't wanna make it worse. Might even get that treated if you're lucky." From the voice Dex determined whoever was talking to him was a woman.
"W-who are you?" He found it difficult to speak.
"Names Sharon. But you won't need to remember that for long. Lucky you slept through most of the ride. We're almost there." Dex was beyond confused.
How would ambulance even get out to his city? who would've called it? Was that pain while he was flying his wing breaking? Nothing made sense. Every answer his mind suggested brought only more questions and this Sharon wasn't helping.
"Hey wait... Where is the 'there' that were almost to?" He realized he wasn't asking the right questions since he had no clue where he was how he got there was not as important right that second.
"Well" Sharon mused "I'm really not supposed to tell ya wingman but I don't think it matters if you know by now. Were pulling into ShadowCorp main bay right now"
Dex didn't know much about ShadowCorp. What he did know is that you should stay as far away from anyone or anything involved with them. He began to panic, thrashing wildly. The pain didn't matter anymore all that mattered now was escaping.
Sharon didn't particularly seem worried about Dex's panicking. She simply mumbled "well I guess that's one way to handle it"
No matter what he did Dex couldn't get out he didn't even seem to phase his restraints. He was beyond helpless as the vehicle came to a stop and the back doors opened to some sort of- "medical center??"
Sharon stepped finally into Dex's view as she exited the vehicle via the back and began pulling the gurney out. She had red hair and silver eyes. A serpent. She's most likely used to calm victims and lull them into a false sense of safety.
Dex couldn't see much as he was lifted out of the "ambulance" and pulled towards the strange building. Sharon dragged him right past the main entrance behind the building where there was a much less noticeable door with two brawny looking men guarding it.
When she got there Sharon flashed some sort of card and they stepped aside. Behind the door was an office looking setup. Sharon approached the main desk still carelessly dragging Dex on the gurney.
" got another one for the containment floor" She said casually.
"Containment is currently closed off. Some genius brought a beast in and forgot to put a shocker on it. It tore up one of the cells and damn near got loose. Just take him down to solitary and see of they have an extra cell you could toss him in"
