Barry and Brad charged into the dressing room, both ready to put on the fight of their lives.
Jimmy turned around when he heard them approach, and before either could attack, he waved his hand simply and the two were pinned against the wall by an invisible force.
"That's a rather simple enchantment, really. I added it to Matt's necklace, which also gives me the power to read Neil and Dani's thoughts," Jimmy explained, "Now, before I kill your friends, and you two, since you evidently figured me out as well, let me explain why I did all this. But first..." he pulled off his bracelet and pulled out his lighter. The bracelet went up in flames and suddenly Jimmy was no longer in front of them. A tall, skinny man with short blond hair and extremely pale skin stood in his place.
"Now, Neil, do you remember me?" the strange man asked.
"Ja- James?" Neil stuttered.
"Oh yes, you do remember me! Now, do you remember why I hate you?"
"Neil... who is this?" Brad asked, confused.
"So you don't remember, but Neil does. Okay, Neil, care to explain?" James said in his strange, raspy voice.
"You... you play drums. And you and Adam used to be best friends in junior high... and then he found me," Neil said, racking his brain.
"Yes. He found you, and replaced me. Not just as a drummer but as a best friend," James clarified.
"You... you never really appeared to have a resentment against either of us..." Neil said, confused.
"I always had thoughts of revenge... but I tried to play the good guy. And then I found this book, and the vengeful thoughts took over.
"The first enchantment to this vengeance plan was the bracelet, of course. I had to make myself unrecognizable. Then there was the puppet, which made Matt fall out of love with Neil, and also gave him contact with me.
"When I hugged Matt by the bus, I enchanted his jacket to make him love me. It's not real love, of course. It just controls his actions and words," James stated.
"Matt, surely you must realize he's the bad guy in this now..." Neil begged.
Matt stared blankly forward.
"Oh, there's another thing. The love spell? It's unconditional. No matter what I do, he will be forced to say he loves me and follow whatever I do," James laughed.
"I enchanted Matt's necklace to read Neil and Dani's thoughts after I overheard them discussing me. I added the... we'll call it the Force... enchantment just this morning," James finished.
"You have ruined Star Wars for me more than the prequels did," Barry said.
James ignored his comment. He tore Matt's necklace off his neck. "I don't really need this anymore since you're all stuck." He crushed the necklace in his hands, the last thing he could do with that enchantment.
Suddenly they heard a chair squeak and scrape a little over the floor.
Dani was still passed out, so they could only assume it was Neil. "Don't even try it, Neil, or I'll torture you even more before I kill you," James snapped. He walked over to the door of the dressing room and began muttering something.
"What... what was that..." Brad asked.
"Soundproofing enchantment. No one can hear a thing going on in this room. I suppose I should've done that earlier, because I wouldn't of had to deal with you two," James explained, gesturing to Barry and Brad.
He turned to Neil. "You took my dream life from me. If it wasn't for you, I would've toured the world. I would have thousands of screaming fans. So now I'm going to take your life from you. But I'm going to make it extra painful for you. You're going to die last, and you're going to have to watch the one you love kill your best friends."
He took a pocket knife out of his pocket and flicked it open, before giving it to Matt. "Kill them. Slowly," he ordered.
Matt walked over to Brad, who was still pinned against the wall.
"No... brother... please..." Brad begged.
Matt wordlessly ran the blade down Brad's wrist, and Brad let out a piercing scream.
