"You say you've seen too many things, that turn out to be too good to be true. Against your better judgment, opened up your heart, 'til you found the joke was on you. Looking out on the rest of our lives, If we're gonna be together or apart. About the only way I know how to come, is right straight from my heart. I want you now, I'll show you how I can be the man you need me to be I've been around, but now I've found that you're the only one for me." - Brian McKnight♥
I shot up into sitting position, my chest heaving up and down, rapidly.
"Hey." Drew said looking over at me. "Good morning.." he trailed off. "Are you alright?"
I pushed myself up against the headboard, holding my head in my hands. "I think so." I panted.
Drew's hand tangled within my hair. "Did you have a nightmare?" he asked, placing his free hand, on my cheek.
I looked up to see him sitting in front of me. "Something like that." I lied.
His hand fell from my hair and face and my lips met his. I felt like I needed reassurance, and I got it. "I'm sorry I scared you." I admitted. Drew fell to his side, as I tossed the cover to the side, stumbling out of the bed.
"It's okay babe, we all have those dreams." He reassured.
I pushed the bathroom door open, flipping on the light switch on. "Yeah." I mumbled. I glanced at myself in the mirror. My hair went in different directions and I looked exactly how I felt, a mess.
"Hey, you got a text message." Drew shouted.
I placed my hands on the counter, letting my head hang low.
"What is really wrong with me? Why haven't I moved on? What is really holding me back?" I thought, questioning this obscure dream I had. "Okay, baby. Here I come." I answered, walking back into the room. "Who is it from?" I asked, as I looked over at my phone sitting on the dresser by Drew.
He stood from the bed, with the remote in one hand, and a bowl of cereal in the other. "Uh, Trey?" He said looking back at me.
My eyes widened and I shook my head slightly. "I'm so sorry." I claimed.
Drew sat his bowl down and unplugged my phone from the charger. "What do you have to be sorry about? I'm not some possessive, controlling fiancé, Abby." He laughed. "You do have a life and I'm not going to make you change anything about it. . ." He paused. "Except you marital status, your last name and where you live." He smiled.
He walked over to me, handing me the phone. "I mean. I hope that's fine with you." He said, raising a brow.
I took the phone out of his hand, tossing it onto the bed. "Nothing would bring me any more joy, than to be your wife." I smiled back. "I mean you're the only one for me."
"Good." He retorted before smiling. "Now kiss me, beautiful."
"Wait, first of all I just woke up, therefore I'm nowhere near beautiful and I thought you weren't a controlling fiancé?" I teased.
