"Call the paramedics because I wont make if, if you try to tell me you don't want to be my baby" -Lee Carr
“Huh dwelling on the past will get you nowhere.” I said, trying to take my own advice.
With what Trey said, I’ll admit it, I was shaken up. Around the time of us enrolling into college things changed, we changed! The relationship, the friendship we once had, wasn’t there anymore. With Uria handing my dirty martini caused me to snap out my mere thoughts.
My fingers wrapped around the glass as the tip touched my lips. I drank smoothly then I realized three strangers were still standing by. I pulled the glass away as I spoke. “Trey, you never introduced your friends.” I stated.
Trey downed his shot of tequila “Right.” He muttered.
The girls leaned against the bars with their drinks in their hands. The three strangers stood between the bar and Trey. Me? I stood in the front of Trey, still. Trey lowered his shot back on the bar and gestured towards the guys.
“Rayon, Jacob and Craig… these girls are...” He introduced the girls, but not knowing exactly who was who. I couldn’t help, but laugh at his attempt. Trey has heard of them but was never able to match a face with a name. “…and this is Abby.” He concluded.
A guy with a big, curly ‘fro spoke. He was of a Mexican ethnicity and that I could tell. His baby hair blended well with his hairline. He had well shaped, busy eyebrows. He had noticeable brown eyes in which captured you with just a glance. Finishing off with a beautiful smile that could attract any girl and indeed it has, within the 20 minutes numerous girls have come and gone.
“This is the girl you let get away?” He questioned Trey.
I now know what his name was and I believe it to be Jacob. He was in between Rayon and Craig, though I’m not sure which was Craig and which Rayon. He stepped out from being directly in between them to stare Trey down in disbelief.
His glance was lost and my face heated as our friends agreed. I felt my hands grow moist indicating the nervousness I was coming into. But Trey, he avoided us, dodging all contact as our friends began chattering amongst themselves.
It came back to me as I remember Trey didn’t properly introduce Uria, Jasmine and Asia, so I took it amongst myself to do the “honors”.
“Actually guys…” I interrupted and took it to point in the order of their names from left to right. “That’s Asia, Jasmine and Uria.”
Trey groaned as he was promptly introduced as well, mostly feeling more embarrassed then me at the moment. His hand rubbed roughly over his faced as he reached for his refilled tequila shot.
He finished up his drink before he spoke. “I do know that for a fact, y’all had a hell of a time in college.” Jacob continued.
How the fuck he know all this… flabbergasted me. Matter of fact… why does he know so much about Trey and I’s business anyways? But then of-course it hit me. Trey talked.
My long, hard glances made an uncomfortable Trey, but what the hell did he expect when his friends was blabbing on about our business. Not once did I talk about us with my own friends. I always kept it our business but maybe that gesture didn’t occur for him. “Trey and I didn’t go to the same college. He went to Yale” I corrected.
‘Mmm yeah, but once he was back in Cali… for sure a hell of a time was promised.” He began to grind in mid-air and it shocked the hell out of me!
I was of-course taken back, but within a split second I was in-raged. “TREY!?!?” I shouted.
I could see he was as shock and pissed as I was. I mean here we are, Jacob, Trey’s friend, telling all of our business; more so, the many things that should not have been repeated.
“Jacob shut the fuck up!” He shouted at him.
Embarrassment was my main emotion at that point. My friends was hearing things that they never knew. I never wanted this moment to happen, but leave it Trey to make it happen. I couldn’t stand hearing his word, seeing his actions and with the result of that led me to storm off with an immense amount of anger. Before I could get far, though, Trey was pulling me back. And that action right there was ticking me off further because of what happened not too long ago.
I yanked my arm away from him, forcing him to let go. He knew and I knew I was beyond pissed, so in his way of getting through to me he threw on his pleading look. One, in which, his eyes become big and soft, his brows creased, and his lip stuck out just a bit. “I’m sorry.” He pleaded.
With my stubbornness showing, I crossed my arms, switched all my weight to one leg and pouted. Being this newly made Trey, he fought to have his way. His head signaled for me to follow him back to our friends, but I fought him on it.
I became resistant to his pleading looks and so he stepped it up a bit. His hands traveled up and down my arms. His facial expression was not altered. His still displayed that pleading look, but his tactics did indeed change. He went from caressing my arms to snaking his arms around my waist, pulling us closer. “I’m really sorry.”
My heart began to race once his face lowered to mine. My breathing, picked up as he became inches away. “Forgive me?” He asked.
I was lost in him. My hands still folded, fighting back, but my mind incorporated with him. “Please?” He gave that smile that always made me cave. He was a sexy smirk that always got to me and here it broke me.
“Fine.” I pushed past him and walked back over to the girls who stood talking to the guys. “Is there anything that they don’t know, Trey?” I politely yelled.
The guy with braids going to the back, I’m guessing his name was Rayon spoke up. He had those type of braids Llyod use to rock. Different designs going different ways. They flowed down past his shoulders. Baby hair as fine as ever, with long eyelashes and big and brown piercing eyes. “Well we don’t know why you guys broke up? What happened?” He questioned.
Like it was even a huge surprise… I was surprised. Was I even sure what happened? “Well….” I trailed off.
