Chapter 12

"Because if you are, I'm sorry for what I said during the chunin exams... I didn't mean any of it." Sakura says. You squeeze her hand and look at her. You change back to how you were before. You pull her towards you and hug her. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." You say tears falling from your eyes. "Ryūketsu-kun!" She says crying into your chest. You place your right hand on top of her head. "Sakura I was so scared, to tell you before I 'died'. I wanted to tell you everything, I just didn't know how to, or if I was ready to." You say. "It's alright, I never gave you the chance to talk. I'm sorry." Sakura says. "Sakura..." You say looking into her beautiful emerald green eyes. She is looking into yours also. You lean towards her face as your hand grazes her cheek. Her cheeks a soft tint of pink. Your masked lips kiss hers. She kisses back softly. You pull back. "I love you, Sakura." You say cupping her cheek. Her blush gets darker. You kiss her forehead. "I love you too." Sakura mutters. You kiss each other on the lips again. Your arms go around her waist as hers go around your neck, pulling each other closer. You pull back from her. She goes to take off your mask. "I don't want you to suffer like I must Sakura, I love you too much." You say cupping her cheek. "Can I see your face, at least?" She asks. You feel yourself blushing as you nod. She slowly pulls down your mask. She stares at your face. You look away from her. Her finger goes along your scar. "How did you get it?" She asks. "I was on a mission to get into the mist village. It went wrong... It was my first mission that went wrong." You say blushing still. "Well I think it looks cool." Sakura says. You smile softly at that. "When most people see it they look away from me." You say looking away from her. "I don't mind it, I never have." Sakura says going to kiss you on the lips. You stop her. "There's a reason why I wore my mask when I kissed you. This disease travels through blood, saliva and other things." You whisper. "But, I don't care, I want you to be happy." Sakura says. "I don't want you to suffer, Sakura... It's painful." You softly argue back. "But we will work on the cure, together right?" She asks. "Yes we can work on it, I just don't want you to be in pain." You say softly as you play with her soft light pink hair. She looks down and nods. You kiss her forehead. "Sakura I love you, so I want you to be safe." You say. She nods as she pulls up your face mask. "I love you too, Ryūketsu." Sakura says before kissing your masked lips. You kiss her back as you pull her closer to you. Suddenly there is a knock on the door. Sakura pulls back and you both open your eyes. You sigh. "You can hang out in the office, till I am finished with the person at he door." You say smiling at smiling at Sakura. She nods and goes off. You listen to the knocking at the door. You do a quick change of age and go to the door. "Yes?" You say opening the door. "Captain Aoi, did my student come over yet?" Lady fifth asks. "Yes she did, and you should know more than anyone that my illness is deadly." You scold her. "I know but she is getting really good, so I thought she could help you." Lady fifth says. "Well she is here, if you want to talk to her. But you know that no one survives living over fifty with this. I will not be the one to do that to your student." You state. "Captain!! Are you done yet?" Sakura yells. "Come here." You order. She comes over and stands behind you. "I still believe she is ready to help you, Aoi." Lady fifth says. "You really think I am ready to cure the famous blood illness?" Sakura asks. "What do you mean?" Lady fifth says confused. "Come in, I have sakē." You mutter. Sakura sweat drops as she walks in. You shake your head as you close the door. Sakura grabs your hand. "Are you going to show her?" Sakura asks. "No not yet." You whisper, before patting her pink head. She nods. "Come on Captain! Where'd you put it?" Lady fifth yells. "It's in the brown drawer in my bedroom." You answer. "Found it!" She  yells from your room.     You shake your head.   Sakura squeezes your hand suddenly and smiles at you.  You lightly squeeze her hand back.  She let's go of your gloved hand then goes and runs into your room.  You sigh and follow after her.  "Lady Tsunade don't go in there!"  You hear Sakura yell.  There is a loud bang of a door slamming.  "What the heck!"  You hear Lady fifth yell.   "You hit one of my traps I set in my apartment.   That room has things even you cannot see Lady fifth." You state calmly.  She turns and looks at you.  "I am the Hokage!  You can't keep things secret from me!"  She yells.  "Under the order of Lord third, the secret of the contents of that room are to be kept between me, Ryūketsu, Lord Third and four additional people who will not be named, because it's so confidential."  You state calmly looking her dead in the eye.  "Well then..."  She huffs.   "Captain Aoi... If it is that secretive, why is it here?"  She asks smirking.  "Because it's always been here... No one has ever been able to move what's in there."  You state.  Lady fifth pouts.   "Lady fifth... Let's drink and go over other things.  And if you will allow your student Sakura, she could join us."  You say.  Lady fifth smirks and says "She is a growing genin, why not!"  You nod and Sakura is glaring at you.
