Who is he really? Chapter 11

*Percy's Pov*

I was nervous.

Scratch that, I was freaked out.

But not because Annabeth was coming to my place, no, it was because I didn't want her to find out about camp.

I didn't want her to see the real me. The so called 'leader' of Camp Demigod, a guy that had friends. A guy that had a bit of talent in sword fighting and swimming. I was currently holding the 'fighters cup' because of my swordsmanship, after beating, Clarisse, I suppose you could call her a friend.

I wasn't a loner, or a loser, nor was I anorexic, I LOVE food, why give it up?

I'm serious, I could eat two whole pizza's and still have room for desert.

But my whole facade, could come crumbling down, because of this stupid, assignment.

I don't care about it, but apparently Annabeth does. I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to get to know me either. So, it's pretty much a lose-lose situation. Which sucks.

As I was leaning against the wall, next to the double doors, thinking about all this, Annabeth was cautiously walking up to me. Like I was about to lash out and hit her. I don't hit bitches though, she should know that.

"Come on" I said, pushing myself off the wall and began walking outside, heading towards my apartment.

I could feel all of her friends staring at me. Something I learnt from camp.

"So...where exactly do you live?" She asked me.

Not one for silence then?

"Not far, about 15 minutes" I told her.

We kept walking, falling into silence, I wouldn't go as far, as to actually call it 'comfortable'.

My apartment was in the lower side of manhattan, not in the poorest area, like where I lived before camp, but not exactly the richest.

The apartment block was a 10 story, red brick building, near this beautiful little park area.

I led Annabeth up the few steps, leading into the building. I turned right and pressed the elevator button.

When the door opened, I stepped in, with Annabeth following behind me. I pressed my floor level button(which happens to be 6).

The door opened again, and I walked down the hall to door '123', no joke.

I opened our blue door and walked into my home.

*Annabeth's Pov*

Percy opened the blue door and steeped into the room. I followed him.

I'm not completely sure, what I expected, but it defiantly wasn't this.

The room was a soft creamy colour, with violet curtains, half covering the large, oak window. There was a small kitchen, big enough for three or so people to eat in. There was a small hallway, with about three rooms on each side.

Percy led me to, what I believe, was the lounge room. The same cream walls and violet curtains, but with a medium sized, couch in the middle and a TV, resting on an oak cupboard.

He went over and sat on the couch, I followed his example.

I felt really uncomfortable. I mean, here I was, a popular kid at Goode High, in the apartment of the loser, Percy Jackson.

Percy must've been able to sense my discomfort, as he sighed, then to my surprise, started talking.

"Well this sucks" He said.

I just nodded.

Then he started to get annoyed.

"Look, I know you don't want to be here, I don't either, I want to be out with my friends, annoying the hades out of everyone at-" he stopped short.

He looked like he had said to much, but I wasn't paying attention.

He said Hades. He actually knew what that meant?

Annoy the hell out of people, where?

"You know about Hades and the Gods?" I asked him.

He was obviously surprised by my question.

"Uh...yeah?" He said it more like a question.

He regained his composure.

"Yeah, I know all about the old Greek and Roman myths and beliefs." He said.

I raised my eyebrow.

"You don't seem like the sorta kid, who likes Ancient History" I told him.

"How would you know?" He asked harshly.

Yeah, I deserved that one.

"Look, I'm sorry-" I got cut off, by a blur of colours, running towards Percy.

"PWERCY!!!"

Also, I have school, as its the end of the school year. in 2 weeks, is our 6 week holiday, so you can expect more chapters, that are longer and better quality! :)
