*Annabeth's Pov*

I rubbed my sore head and tried to keep my bleary eyes open.

I stood almost no chance against the overpowering will to fall asleep and never wake up.

"Annabeth!" A voice called out to me.

I could recognize the voice, but I was too tired to look for details, to hear who was calling.

I turned in my seat slightly.

Piper was looking at me one eyebrow raised.

"Sleep" I mumbled.

She just rolled her eyes in exasperation, too used to this.

"C'mon, dinner's over, we have to get to the Campfire to find out our results.

And that brings me to why I was so tired.

I was competitive, over competitive, I took things to the next level, always wanting to come out on top.

Throughout the day, we had had many different physical tests and a couple of mind ones.

After we had left the prank grounds, Malcolm had lead us towards the arena where we had seen Percy Jackson fight Clarisse La Rue.

There, we had been told to choose a weapon and had been shown how to use it. We would begin lessons tomorrow. I had chosen a dagger, and from what I could see, Luke had chosen a sword, Piper, Silena and Calypso had chosen a dagger, similar to mine. I saw a couple of Bow and Arrow sets taken out to be used, but only two were chosen as weapon of choice. I didn't see anyone else's weapon, as I was too busy trying mine out.

Two buff, muscly kids, who looked about seventeen, had watched us, occasionally nodded and wrote things down on their pad of paper.

Once we had finished up in the Arena, we had been taken to the Dining Pavilion for lunch. The food was really good, better then I had ever tasted, my friends and I were forced to sit at a spare table, which we just managed to squeeze into as we didn't yet have a cabin, nor cohort that we could sit with. We had stayed an extra half hour in the Pavilion as there was some confusion to what we would do next.

After that, we had moved towards the Demeter cabin, but as soon as Malcolm and Bianca saw the state it was in, went up to a girl, about our age who looked furious, and talked to her. The Trio had soon come over to us and had asked if any of us had an interest in plants and the environment. The only one in our group who fit that category, was Miranda, who had blushed and nervously raised her hand. Katie -who introduced herself as the leader of the Demeter campers and was the furious looking girl from before- had beamed at her and had fired questions, one after the other at her in a rapid style.

Miranda had, surprisingly, answered everyone with ease and as we left, smiled at Katie.

Then we had walked towards, what looked like an agility/sports ring, well that was the only way I could describe it. There was a long, stretched oval, like the ones Olympic Athletes used when running sprints, in the middle of the arena area, with about five kids in a back to back race, with the fastest about fifteen centimeters away from second place. Surrounding it, was multiple courts, which had basketball hoops (where a game was being held), netball hoops, a mini soccer and football field, in front of me was two girls, one in a purple shirt, the other in an orange, playing a hardcore tennis game. In another area, which had makeshift fences, surrounding the perimeter, was, what looked to be an athletics area, with long jump pit, a high jump mat, a marked space on the grass for shotput and discus and a whole hell of a lot more Olympic events.
