"Well, well, what do we have here?"

They put me on the bench in the locker room and Miranda carefully removed my pads. Her hands were shaking and I could tell that she was trying to fight back her nerves. I ignored the pain in my knee as she took off my right knee pad. She tucked away my leg pads as I put my legs on the ground. I yanked my jersey off and tossed it on the bench.

"Haley Vilmer?" A woman spoke from behind me. I turned to see a woman standing a few steps from me. I flinched and looked at her. "I'm a representative from Portland Thorns. I want to offer you a position on the Portland Thorns. After tonight's game, we could really use someone like you on our team."

"Really?" I asked her. She happily nodded.

"You heal up and the postition is yours once you graduate." She smiled at me. "I'm sorry that those girls were playing dirty. I hope your knee gets better soon."

"Thank you so much." I shook her head. She left quickly so the girls could change. "Holy shit!"

"This is so awesome, dude!" Miranda told me. I nodded happily as Coach brought me crutches. I grabbed them and stood up with the help of Miranda. She grabbed my bag and we started the difficult walk out of the locker room. The crisp May air hit me as the door opened to the parking lot.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" A raspy voiced asked. Miranda and I stopped to see who the voice belonged to.

"Harry, fuck off." Mirana told the guys jokingly. He had a cigarette resting between his lips. I realized he was the same guy from before that was watching me at the game.

"Where are you two heading off to?" The guy, who I now knew was Harry, asked us with a smirk playing on his lips. I couldn't help but notice his dimples.

"I'm taking her to her room so she can rest. She hurt her knee." Miranda told Harry as she moved my bag back up her shoulder.

"I'll take her." Harry offered.

"No." I said through gritted teeth. He chuckled at me.

"I'm not going to fuck you, love. You aren't my type." He laughed. I turned from him and made my way down the steep hill with Miranda by my side.

"You shouldn't have done that." Miranda told me. I stopped and looked at her with a questioning look. "Harry is bad news."

"What the fuck does that mean?" I said loudly causing people to look at us. Miranda bit her lip as a black SUV pulled up to us. I looked at the driver adn groaned.

"I'll see you around, love" Harry smiled at me. I rolled my eyes before I started to walk again. I didn't want to deal with anything related to Harry.
