Moving around hurt, sitting's uncomfortable, sleeping's horrible, but Jean thought everything was worth it. Now almost being at the end of his pregnancy, Jean's excited. The nursery was finished, filled with not only various baby things, but also clothes and thanks to Eric's family - everything they could get their hands on. Jean could accept such behavior, but Eric was another story.
Ever since he learned about the pregnancy, Eric would be sickly overprotective. If Jean moved in the slightest, Eric would magically show up like he kept tabs on him all day. Don't do that, watch out, you are going to hurt yourself, let me do it, just sit down and many more responses had come from his fussy mate. At first it was nice, but after a few months, Jean was about to grab his gun and just get it over with. His mood had been unstable from not only the crying and screaming, but also laughing. A whole rollercoaster of emotions. Even the pack members kept a safety distance, when spotting him around the pack house or outside.
Thinking back on the event, Jean shook his head, looking forward to getting his emotions under control once again after getting these babies into the world. Joy spread as he'd gotten the news; twin boys. They'd grow up as the Alpha and Beta of this pack and become strong warriors – especially after undergoing the training of Jean, an ex-soldier, and Eric, an Alpha. They could end up being an Omega instead of an Alpha or Beta, but it didn't matter. One's rank wasn't determined at birth, but from the hard work put into training and the willpower to make it through. Jean wasn't worried and neither was Eric, knowing Jean's genetic setup - it didn't change anything. Even though he was said to be an omega at birth, he was now an Alpha fighting alongside his pack members to protect their home. After Eric had explained his feelings and thoughts, Jean could breathe easily once again, because that fact had been something he was worried about.
Jean sighed as he pinched the bridge between his eyes to ease some of the pain. Thinking about the things that had happened throughout these months took a toll on him. He felt as the exhaustion settled in and his eyes began to drop, thinking a quick nap would be good. Jean laid down and fell asleep.

Eric was on his way home after spending all day with the Silver Moon Pack. Apparently they hadn't experienced much rogue activity. The two Alphas went through different counterattack measures and the two packs agreed to sign a peace treaty. Discussing the conditions of providing help, should the need arrive. Excitement swirled inside Eric, as he step by step got closer to his mate. The thought about leaving him alone almost broke his heart and he would have send his Beta, Peter, to deal with the affair, if that had been an option.
Looking at the time, Eric knew that he was only an hour away from cuddling in his mate's warm embrace. A smile unconsciously made itself onto his face and his eyes brightened showcasing the happiness felt in that moment. The feeling of soon being able to hold his pups was something no words could describe. Finally arriving at the pack house, Eric parked the car, but halted when a scream echoed in the darkening evening. Eric froze in his steps, as he identified the scream. It's Jean.
Running inside, up the stairs and into their room, Eric couldn't see his mate. Panic settled in until another scream was heard. Running over to the couch, Jean was laid in a fetus position to help with the pain, which didn't seem to relieve it at all. Reacting fast, Eric took hold of his mate, mind linked the pack doctor and walked towards the private hospital with hurried footsteps. Pack members stopped to watch what was happening and after realizing the new leaders of the pack was going to be born, they stopped to send a prayer to the moon goddess.
Inside the hospital everything had been arranged. Standing at the side were two nurses, a midwife and a doctor to insure everything went well. Jean was laid upon the cleaned bed as Eric was pushed out of the room to get disinfected and put on his scrubs.
