Visiting the Past

We walk down to the garden area where they were talking and my father leaves Eric and I alone. My father grabs my mother and they walk together holding hands. "Wow, your mother and father sure love each other." Eric says with a smile. I nod. "They've gone through a lot so their love is strong." He smiles.

"Hey let's walk around the garden." I smile and nod. "Might I say you look beautiful." Hey says and I blush. "Yeah now that I'm not covered in dirt." "Well I think that look suited you the best." I gasp. I pushed him and we both laughed then I noticed we weren't in the castle anymore; our surroundings had changed.

We were in the docks in the village of my first home in Garrington. "What the heck, where are we?" Eric asks. "My first home, Garrington." I say and smile. "Whoa what's going on?" Erics says then we both notice a commotion going on. "Hey hide, I see pirates there and two women tied up." "What?" I say. I move closer to them. "Rhea no we need to hide." I ignore him and we hid behind a bush and I start to notice the setting.

No this is when the thieves sell my mother and her cousin to that pirate Ruiz." I said. "Who?" "Eric that's my mother like 20 plus years ago." I say. "She looks good." He says. I scoff. "Eric, really?" I say. "Hey at least I made you laugh." I smile. "Wait how are we in the past if we are from the future?" I gave him a confused look. "Were you born here?" He asks. "Yes, but not at this time, my parents weren't together here." I say.

Time passes and that's when we hear swords clashing and fighting. "No this is where my mother, no this is where my father sees my mother." I say hyper ventilating and I start to sob. "Where what?" Eric screams. "Rhea what's going on?" He says. Then I see my dad jump on the ship and that's when Ruiz turns my mother around and I could see her mouth "I love you" to my father.

Eric pulls me fast towards him like he knew what was going to happen. Then I see him stab her with the dagger. I cry and scream. "No mother!" Eric hugs me tighter. He's just holds me near his chest. I see my father screaming and holding her in his arms. Eric pulls me away into the forest. "Rhea hey, look at me, this is the past ok, we are from the future and somehow we are here so that means she's alive ok, she's fine." He hugs me and he dries my tears. I smile and nod.

"Ok, now let's find our way back to the castle." He says. I nod. We keep walking and it seemed endless. It feels like we've been walking for hours and in circles. Of course Eric and I were talking and getting to know each other. I felt so comfortable with him and he is such a gentleman. He is just amazing and always makes me laugh.

"Let's go through here." He says and walked through a tunnel and there we were at the docks. "Again?" I say in a mad tone. "This is strange." Eric says looking around and that's when he gasps. "Get down!" He screams and he hugs me and pushes me to the floor. "Canons?" I ask and Eric nod. Oh no. We get up from the floor and try to hide and that's when someone starts charging after us.

Eric starts fighting him and slashes him. I see the ship and I see my father and Ruiz fighting. "Oh no, this is where my father..." I said and searched around and I see my mother on the floor and then she got up started to fight the pirates, I see aunt Lacy with her. My mom gets into the ship and I run after her and Eric of course comes after me we both get on the ship but we hid so they wouldn't notice.

They were beating my dad up really bad. It broke my heart and Eric was just holding my hand and was just in shock by what he was witnessing. I looked at my mother and she looked devastated. "Wait, she's already pregnant with me here." I see my dad getting up and he smiles and I can see he's looking at my mother. Eric grabs my arm. "Rhea." He says in a shaky way.

Then I see Ruiz stab my father and my mom goes crying towards him. "You're going to be a dad, come back to me." She kept screaming. I started to cry and that's when Ruiz throws my father overboard and my mother goes after him. "No!" I screamed and I jumped out of the ship and Eric followed me. We were in the water and I see them both floating there and Eric is pointing at me to go back up to the surface and that's when I see the dolphin.

I smile and Eric grabs my arm and when we make it to the surface, we take a breath of air and swim to the shore. "Oh my gosh." I say. "Ok we have to go back to the castle." Eric says and I nod. We walk towards the forest and all of a sudden it's night time. "What, where are we now?" I say. I look at Eric and he's wearing a very nice Prince Outfit.

"Hey, you're not wet and you look rather dashing." "Well you look gorgeous and stunning." He says and I look at him in a weird way and I can see that I'm dry and I'm wearing a red and black dress. "What's going on?" I say. Eric reaches into his pocket and sees an invitation.

"Rhea's Birthday Ball." Eric reads. "Omg it's my birthday ball." I say. "I guess we were invited." Eric says and we turn around and there's the castle from Garrington. Eric extends his arm and smiles. "Well might as well enjoy this your majesty." I smile and grabbed his arm.

My grandfather is at the door greeting everyone. We turn the invitation in and we bow. "We are the prince and princess from the Northern Valley." He bows. "Welcome, I am delighted and send my regards to your father Daniel." He nods and off we go into the ball room. "Well that was nerve wrecking." I say. "I can't believe he didn't notice it was you." Eric says and I nod.

We try to stay on the side of the ball room close to a window so we wouldn't be noticed. Then we hear that the ball was going to start. Eric sees little me in my mother's arms and smiles. "Rhea look there's baby you." I nod. He smiles and nods. Then the dance begins, we start to dance and I'm loving it. I just stare into Eric's eyes and I could feel myself falling more and more for him.

I'm leaning on his chest and then I hear "I love you Rhea." "Did you say something?" I ask Eric. He nods no. I smile and we continued to dance. I looked out the window and I saw my dad and I heard little me call out for my dad. I let go of Eric and gasp. Oh shoot, that's right my dad is going to attack the castle. "We need to hide." I tell Eric. We hid behind a huge curtain as my father, the pirate entered with his crew and that woman.

We see him enter and kiss the woman. "Whoa, I didn't know your father was a pirate?" Eric says in complete shock. "Yeah he was for a while." We continue to see the whole commotion. Then we see my parents sword fight. I gasp at the sight of that. Eric just stood there entertained.

Then we see my mom hit my dad on the head. "Oh my gosh." Eric says and gasps. "Yup." I say. We keep watching and we just laugh and cry and we are just holding hands behind the curtain. Then my dad finally remembers and he kisses my mom and they make up.

Eric smiles at me and kisses me forehead. "See I told you things were going to be ok." I nod and that's when they ask all the guests to come back. We decide to walk out of the castle and try to make our way back to Valedonia. We go through the tunnel and we fall into a big body of water.

We swam up and it was day time. I looked at him and scoffed. "Oh my gosh, where are we now?" He asks. "Well let's swim to the shore, I think we are back in Valedonia." We made it to the shore and sure enough we were back in our kingdom, Valedonia. We got out from this body of water we were in and we look up and we are in the castle garden.

Eric and I stood there baffled as can be. "Ok was I the only one that witnessed that or was it the both of us?" I laughed. "See like I said they went through a lot." He nodded. "Yes they did go through a lot." A knight comes and smiles at the sight of us.

"Prince Eric, princess Rhea you're alive!" "Of course." We both said. "It's been months since we've seen the both of you!" "What?" We both said and looked at each other confused as can be.

Both our parents come out and hug us. "What happened?" All four asked at the same time. "Nothing it's just..." Eric looked at me like if we should tell them the truth. I nodded. "It was weird, we were walking and all of a sudden we were back in your old kingdom and then stuff happened and we came back through a body of water." I smiled because he left other details out.

"This is strange." His father said. "Oh this is princess Rhea." Eric says. I bowed to his parents. "It's a pleasure." They both say. "This is indeed bizarre because you two are in the same clothes from when you guys disappeared, just a little more wet." My dad says. We look down and sure enough he was right. Everyone laughs and Eric reaches for my hand and I held it. I felt like someone else was holding my other hand. "Rhea I love you." I kept hearing. I look around me and nothing, and again I shake off the feeling.
