Hey, guys! It's been so long since I haven't updated andI'm sorry about that, I just can't stop procrastinating. Anyways.. I would like to thank all of you who voted and read chapters 1 & 2 so far, THANK YOU! :* I decided to write this chapter in the perspective (POV) of Avan, I'm not sure i.f you guys would like it so let me know in the comments.
Without further ado, I present to you:
Chapter Three ◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
Their eyes locked.
It was if time were to stop. They say eyes are the windows to the soul, and that's exactly what he saw. The shattered pieces of a girl's happiness and dreams, all hidden deep inside, almost nonexistent.
It was almost like she knew what I was looking at, she quickly looked away, staring at the landscape of the city.
I looked back at Nathan, finding him practically drooling.
"I believe you should get going now Nathan, thank you once again."
I lead him to the elevator, waiting for him to get in.
" Wow, Avan she's hot."
" Excuse me ?"
" I meant she looks like she has a fever, are you sure you don't want me to drive her to the hospital? Pardon me sir for the misunderstanding."
I look back at her, her expression is blank, no emotions at all.
" I'm sure she's fine, cancel all my meetings for today postpone them to the 31st. Let Emma know when the meetings are taking place and I'll call you if I need anything."
"Sir, Mr. Denrick doesn't like delayed meetings, I'm sure you know that and excuse me for butting in but won't you reconsider?"
"Mr.Denrick can wait a couple of days, don't worry about that."
I hand Nathan a fifty dollar bill.
" Go buy yourself some ice cream."
" Thank you, sir-"
"Avan" I Interrupt.
" Thank you Avan, please let me know if there's anything I can do for you"
Nathan finally steps into the Elevator.
" Will do, Goodbye"
Nathan nods as the elevator doors close.
I turn around, she's leaning on the railing of the staircase still staring at the view.
I walk towards her, she doesn't even look over at me, as if she still hasn't acknowledged my presence.
I stand by her side, mimicking her posture, leaning against the railing. I then lean against the railing and look at her.
Moments pass as I argue with myself on whether I should say something or stay shut.
" It's beautiful, it looks unreal. Almost as unrealistic as my dream." She states referring to the view of the city.
Shocked by her speaking, I gulp, nodding.
" I um .. got you clothing and pills, " I say as I go and grab the items, walking back to her.
She stares at me with a cold expression, she backs up a few steps, tears now appearing, threatening to fall.
She quickly wipes them with the back of her hand.
"I don't think you like wearing my shirts... but if you do you're welcomed to wear them anytime."
I didn't want to approach her too much, afraid she'll run off. I held out the bags of clothing for her to take she looked at it and took it, her hand brushing against mine gently.
"Thank you... Avan"
I gazed at her.
"Yeah... no problem."
I looked down, rubbing my chin, smiling. The way she said my name, this is going to sound cliche but it was like she was meant to say it. After a moment I look up to her with a small smile, to notice she was already making her way up the stairs until she looked back and softly said
"My name is Sarah."
🍒🍉🍇🍈🌽🍐🎂🍰🍞🍮🍩🍦🍨🍧🍪
Well isn't that Avan quite a gentlemen?
I'm sorry guys for the short chapter, I promise you the next chapter will be longer and juicier! Should I write a chapter on her POV or should I write it in 3rd person?
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS!!!
