Chapter 19: Siblings?!?

Hiccup

I never wanted this to happen. Things been weird for the last couple of days. Astrid waited me for answering her question. I looked at Red. She steps up, "Hiccup, if you don't want to say it, then maybe we can tell them later, maybe at the Great Hall back at home, perhaps?" I sighed with relief. "That would be easier for me then, since I have no idea how to explain all of this." Red laughs at me. I said, "What's so funny?" "Oh, it's nothing important. It's a girl thing." Snoutlout went past me and headed outside. I sighed with relief that Dad would be good explaining to the gang about me and Red. Fishlegs looked at me with a curious face. "You ok, Hic? You seemed worried." I said, trying to make an excuse, "Me, nervous? No, I'm not nervous, Fishlegs, why wouldn't I be?" He didn't look convinced as I thought.

Red

Whew.  I knew that Hiccup would be panicking of how he would tell the others about us being related. I couldn't imagined being in his shoes. Snoutlout looks at me with a worried look. "Red, are you ok?" I sighed, "Sorry, Snoutlout, it's been weird these past few days. I am still trying to adjust things with Beauty." He smiles, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll feel right at home in no time." I kissed him with a smirk, "Thanks, Snoutlout. You knew what to say." He looks at my bandages. "Red, if I didn't come sooner-" "Snoutlout, this happened for a reason and you did what you could. I couldn't be more prouder of you." He looks up to me with a glimpse of hope. "Really?" I said, "Positive. Now, let's head to Berk. I really wanted to see what it looks like for the past three years." He smiles at the idea, "You wouldn't even regonize it! Hiccup did an amazing job these past three years!" We flew into Berk and he was right. Things had changed, and I guess it was all my brother's hard work, along with Toothless of course. Hiccup nudges me on the shoulder. "What you think?" I said, smiling, "It's amazing. Nice work." A man came by and waved at Hiccup. "Hiccup, there you are!" He replies to him, "Hey, Gobber. Where's my Dad at?" Gobber said, "He's at the Academy with Skullcrusher, throwing axes." Hic said, happily, "Great, thanks, Gobber." We followed him to the "Academy" where my Dad was indeed throwing axes. Astrid said, "Wow, I guess this is what he does when no one is around." Hiccup coughs to get his attention. He turns around and sees us. "Hiccup!" He cries. He ran towards him and gave him a bear hug. "Uh... Dad, can't breathe." Hiccup said, struggling to breathe. He lets go and said, "Sorry about that. Well, did you find her?" I took a deep breath and said, "Hey, Dad." Astrid and the other Riders looked in shocked of what I've said.

Snoutlout

Wait, what did Red say to the Chief of Berk? Stoick was stunned at first. He didn't even move an inch, probably of trying to adjust this. Hiccup said, patting him, "Go on, she is not going to yell at ya." Red walks slowly towards him and hugs him. We stared at the embrace, trying to figure out what is going on. I asked, "What in the name of Thor is going on here? Hiccup you need to explain all of this, now!" Stoick lets go of Red and looks at Hiccup curiously. "You haven't told your friends yet? About you and Rebecca?" Hic looks at us and rubs his head. "Well, Rebecca suggested that we should tell them here in Berk. I first thought of you could explain this to them for us." Red said, "Well, I figured it would overwhelm you with all the pressure and I really wanted to see what Berk looked like after being stranded in an isle for three years." Stoick looks at her then laughs, "You are both quite right. Hiccup it's a good thing you came to see me first. I see Rebecca has now a Dragon of her own. It looks like I have to look after both of them now." Red laughs, "Says the Chief who had a dragon of his own." The Chief rolls his eyes at the comment and said to her, "Very funny Rebecca. Now, how about Hiccup give you a tour of Berk before we celebrate your homecoming?" "Homecoming? Dad are you sure?" She asks him with a surprise face. He laughs, "I'm sure. So, I'll see you both later tonight." "Sure, Dad." They both said, leaving the Academy. I'm not sure of why we are making a party for Red. Is it so important that Hiccup hasn't told us?

Astrid

The Great Hall. Gosh this is very beautiful with the decorations on and Vikings all dressed up for the party. I wore a dress that my mom had given me and tied my hair into a braid. Snoutlout wore a tie and was sweating. "Snoutlout, you don't have to worry." I teased him. He looks at me with a glare. "This is my first time and now I'm dating. Why you aren't nervous like Hiccup and Red? They seemed worried about this." I thought about their reactions of hearing Stoick making her a homecoming party. "Yeah, they were. But Hiccup is acting different, same as Red." Fishlegs asks, "What you mean?" "They seemed off with one another. I wonder did anything seem weird and unusual since they were both nearly killed by the Hunters?" Snoutlout thought for a moment before the doors went in. There they were. Hiccup and Red. Red wore a dress and it looked beautiful and she straighten her hair down. Snoutlout was amazed of her appearance and can't speak. Red and Hiccup walks towards us and Red was blushing. "Is it too much?" Hiccup reassures her, "Rebecca, you look beautiful, just like Mum was. I think it suits you well." As Red was about to reply, Stoick makes an announcement. "We are glad that Red had returned to Berk safely but she is not just a girl in the village." We were confused of his words. What he means by that. "You all thought that Hiccup is my heir to Berk, but Val and I kept a secret from all of you. Hiccup isn't an only child. He has a sibling." The throng began to whisper of who is the other child of Stoick. "Another Haddock? This is incredible!" Fishlegs exclaims. Red took a deep breath as she can, feeling nervous. Hiccup took her hand and smiled and reassuring her that everything would be fine. "May I present Rebecca Alana Haddock, the other Heir of Berk, long lost sister to Hiccup Horredous Haddock the Third!"  Red walks up to Stoick with Hiccup. Within that second moment, I realized that my best friend is Red! "Whoa, didn't see that coming." Snoutlout said. Rebecca walks with her brother in embarrassment, "I guess that you are surprised about this?" I said, Red-I mean, Rebecca. Why you didn't say anything? You two are siblings?!?" She holds her hands up, "I know, I know! It's a such to me too. Just call me Red. Rebecca may be my real name, but you still known me as Red." "I guess this is a lot to get used to, huh?" Snoutlout asks her. "Sure is." She replies. I turned to find Hic. He disappeared and I knew that I will find him on my own. "Uh, Red, I'm going out. Enjoy this night." "Thanks, I will." I went to Stormfly and searched for Hiccup.
