Hi guys,
I know I usually do the authors note at the end, but this one is kind of important. Please just spare a minute of your precious life to read this.A few months back I lost someone in my life. Death is not something we can help unfortunately. It happens. How we deal with it is on us. I'd like to think of death like a mere 'goodbye, and see you again.' And yes, goodbyes suck, contrary to its name, but they're necessary, in hopes that we will meet again in a better place. I wanted to say that if you've recently lost someone in your life, or even a long time ago, let's not forget to say goodbye. Even if it hurts, let's just hope that wherever our loved ones are, they're in a better place. And that 'better place' doesn't have to be heaven, or whatever you believe in; that better place could simply be in our own hearts. Let's hope they never leave that place.

Not much had happened after Joy had come to my house on Saturday. After my stomach decided to growl out like a gorilla would, Joy announced that he had to leave since he had to get his butt to football practise so Jake and Joy left together. Then Joel retreated downstairs, still a bit confused from Joy's massive bear hug.
After Tommy's death, Joy and Joel had kind of drifted apart. It wasn't intentional. It only happened because the two of them dealt with their grief differently. Joel had completely busied himself with work, staying at his office late, and leaving early in the morning; on the other hand, we all know what happened with Joy. Safe to say that neither of them had enough time to console each other.
The hug they shared on Sunday, was the very first time they saw each other in a while, since Joel had just gotten back from his business trip. After that, he had refused to see him at the hospital, and Joy was too embarrassed to face him after the stunt he pulled. Don't get me wrong, it'll take a long time before things turn normal between them again. However, I think they had started making their road to recovery, which was more than enough for now.
After everyone had left, it was down to Tristan and I. The first thing he did once the dining room cleared out, was laugh in my face. Yes, a full blown laugh. He was literally clutching his stomach like he was in pain, and he was laughing at me. It was the first time I saw him laugh like that and I don't ever recall hearing a laugh quite like his. It was a loud, hoarse laugh and he looked like was shooting a commercial about toothpaste. If Rose saw him, she would swoon.
Then of course I realized that he was laughing at me, so I slapped his arm, shutting him up completely. The two of us then headed to the nearest McDonald's to get breakfast. And that happened to be the highlight of my weekend.
