I sighed in frustration and slumped down in the chair beside Rose. Rose rubbed my back in attempt to calm me down but it wasn't working too well.

"It's okay. We sent her home for the rest of the day so she should be okay-"

"Okay for what? The day? And then she comes back the next day and the same thing happens," I ranted in frustration.

Rose frowned and nodded.

"Okay... that's one way to look at it."

I frowned and slouched further into my chair. I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the back of my chair.

"What happened? Where is everybody?" a new voice cut in.

I opened my eyes and a blurry Charles came into view. Now that I was used to the idea of him being back, I went back to treating him like I did before he left for England. In short, I scoffed, closed my eyes, and went back to the position I was in.

"Oh the love!" he cried out dramatically.

"Sit down blondie, I'll explain what happened," Rose said.

I heard the scraping of a chair dragging across the floor and then a relieved sigh coming out of Charles' mouth.

"Well, as soon as the people started coming in for the sign-ups, all they kept asking was, 'Why did Bree and Joy break up?' " Rose explained in a soft whisper. "This one girl came up and said some pretty messed up things like, 'Finally Joy came back to his senses.' Needless to say, the girl went crying out of the room, courtesy of Avila. So we sent Bree home for the day and now, we're all on a twenty minute break," Rose finished.

We were all quiet for a couple minutes, still processing what happened. After what seemed like forever, Charles spoke.

"What I don't get between all of this, is why isn't Joy showing up?" Charles said, sounding a little agitated.

I sat up straighter with a sigh and snapped my eyes open.

"What I don't get, is why people can't mind their own business," I said, on the verge of yelling.

Charles and Rose flinched at my outburst, but I continued speaking.

"Bree and Joy had such a tough relationship. They were finally, finally getting through to each other and then these bimbos happened!"

They seemed taken aback by my words.

"What do you mean?" Charles asked confused.

"Don't you remember how it was before they started dating?" I asked them.

They seemed lost in thought for a couple of seconds and then suddenly snapped back into reality.

"Bree was a nobody," Charles breathed out.

I nodded.

"It was pretty rough for them at the start? Bree almost had a nervous breakdown," Rose said.

We all shuddered at the memory of when Bree ended up at the hospital a year ago because of the bullying. Joy looked like a lost puppy at the time. After that, we all stood by Bree and Joy like our lives depended on it. Obviously we gave them space to do their coupley stuff but we always had their backs at all times, making sure that neither of them end up in the hospital.

"People hated her," Charles said softly.

I nodded.

"Exactly. It took him a while to gather the courage to ask Bree out. He was so scared of how people would treat her."
