"I... don't know," he sighed, messing up his hair.
"Damon, I'm pretty sure you have an answer. And it's a fixed one. So?" I raised an eyebrow cockily.
The boy nodded and took a deep breath. "I think I have feelings for her too."
"Yas! I knew it!" I shouted, pirouetting along the corridor.
"But Dal... I don't know if it's right."
I stopped. "What do you mean by that?"
"Uh, long story short. My ex girlfriend, Jazz, left a huge impression. I'm still a bit hurt. Not sure if that's what I want," Damon leaned on his locker and stared at the floor, lost in thought.
"Alexa isn't Jazz," I spoke with confidence.
Seriously, Dalanie? You don't even know who Jazz is!
"I didn't know you knew Jazz," Damon attempted to change the subject, but I saw right through it.
"No, I don't. But she's definitely nothing good. And you've known Alexa your whole life now. She will never be like Jazz. Alexa's good."
The atmosphere between us was suddenly very tense. Crap. I hope I didn't mess things up.
"I... I gotta go to class. See you, Dalanie," Damon quickly opened his locker door, grabbed a book and with a slam of the door, he ran away.
I sighed and slapped my forehead. Well, it could have been worse.

"Dal?"
"That's me," I grinned.
Kristen, all sprawled out on her bed, waved a disc. "GTA?" She asked, eyes half open tiredly and beaning.
I nodded and ran to her side.
She sat up, moved aside and I sat down next to her. As we waited for the game to load, I tapped the controller nervously.
"Something to say?" Kristen broke the awkward silence.
I swear, this girl just knows me so damn well.
"Alex is bi."
Kris chuckled. "I thought you're okay with it. But something tells me someone else likes him."
"How did you..." I looked up in surprise.
"A little bird told me," she whispered. "A little bird by the name of Alexa."
I leaned back and sighed. "Great that I can skip the details then. I told Alexa it was fine. Truth is, I think I'm starting to like Zac again."
"You what, mate?!" she screamed.
"Tone it down," I growled, but immediately softened. "You think Alex minds?"
"If I were Alex, I would mind." I mean, the girl I'm dating has, once again, feelings for her 'ex'. And to make matters worse, I have a guy who likes me whom I'm not clear about my feelings for."
"Alright, alright. I get it. And what you just said pretty much summarised the whole situation now," I laughed.
"Exactly. So get your feelings clear first."
"I'm working part-time in an ice cream shop with Zac now. Lots happened." I started to fill Kris with details, but she put up a hand.
"I know everything. Kora's secretly been checking up on you and regularly updating me."
"Ninja much?!" I drew back a gasp.
Kristen doubled over in laughter and I cracked a small, subtle smile.
