I joyfully hop down the metal stairs and many people look at me with recognition or annoyance.
I may or may not play pranks on people...
When I get to the bottom of the stairs I am attacked.... with hugs! I face my attacker and hug them back. They laugh while picking me up and twirling me around while smiling widely.
"Can't breathe!"
I wheeze out.
"I don't care... I missed you!" Red basically yells while hugging me again.
I laugh and pat him on the back while my smile still remains. He lets go of me only to sling an arm around me shoulder. We walk over to my nook and he lays on my bottom bunk. I shake my head while turning on all my computers and plugging in my toaster.
"Do you have any bread and butter here?"
Red smiles at me.
"Your still obsessed with toast?"
I nod enthusiastically while finding a picture of toast.

"Tell me that doesn't look like heaven?!"
Red looks at me dead in the eyes and whispers a word that makes me want to attack him.
"Gross."
I look at him in disbelief, about to argue, but he changes the subject quickly.
"Hey, why'd you leave anyways?"
I give him a small smile.
"I had to visit my brother."
He nods understandingly at me and hugs me.
I change the subject now.
"So... anything I can help you and your dad with?"
He glances at me while pausing before saying, "Someone's blackmailing us. They have everything we've ever done on a server and I need another person to help me hack it."
I smile at him while pulling out my protected laptop.
Red picks up his laptop and I start a program.
"It should be done in a few minutes. Take it to your dad."
Red gives me his thanks and walks away, slumping a little.
"And perk up buttercup!"
He sticks up his middle finger while still walking and I laugh.
I sigh and think about what I can do to occupy myself for a while.

When I hop down the metal stairs, everyone looks up from what their doing, those who don't know me have annoyed expressions on their face, those who do either have fear, happiness or excitement on their face. When I get to the bottom I am attacked in a hug, "Can't breathe!" The person I know as Red laughs and he picks me, spinning me around. "I missed you!" I laugh a very rare and sincere laugh. He smiles and finally puts me down while slinging an arm over my shoulder, and off we go. We walk towards my bunk bed that's in the corner of the room and I lift up the top mattress, showing all the computers, with a click of a button they all raise up and I smile, I missed this place. Red must have noticed because he then asks, "Hey, why'd you leave?" I give a small smile his way, "I had to check up on someone, turns out they didn't need it..." He nods and climbs on top with me, he turns on the computers while I set up everything in my bag. When everything is up I start on the security cams in the city, "So, what do you and your dad need help with?" Oh, by the way, Lorenzo is Red's dad. Red answers, "Oh, someone thought it was a good idea to keep a digital record of what we did. He wants to turn it into the cops, we can't kill him and I can't hack in. I nod and he gives me the guys information. I quickly get into his computer and notice that the room is getting loud. I can't focus so I take out my hearing aid and everything goes quiet except for a slight buzz in my good ear. I finish hacking into the guys stuff and hand the computer to Red, he nods and runs it to Lorenzo who's over by the guns. This place is like a warehouse so there are stations, I have mine and it's where I've stayed most of my life. Lorenzo starts to open his mouth so I quickly put my aids back in and turn them up as much as they can go, I walk over to the tech station that's opposite the guns, I over hear.
"Ok, she got into it and everything's erased that goes with us, I couldn't change the documents to incriminate the other gang." Red says. "Ok, that's the best we can do right now. Try to change it so that we can get Tyler off her back." I quickly walk back towards my station. I hack into Red's computer and make it so he can change it. It was a nice thought.
