Charlotte's POV
5 months later
My alarm woke me up early that morning. It was August 20th; Nate and Morgan's wedding day. I shot out of bed and got dressed really quickly. I was excited for today. It was the day I would have a mother for the first time in my whole life. Sure I had Laura, but I've never thought of her as my mother. I grabbed my dress and walked downstairs. Morgan was already awake and making coffee. Nate spent the night in a hotel with his groomsmen. I was Morgan's only bridesmaid. She said she didn't want anyone else but me. "Good morning!" I said, walking into the kitchen. "Hey you! Good morning." Morgan pulled me in for a side hug. "Are you excited?" I asked her. "More than anyone in the world. I've been looking forward to this for years." I grabbed two portable coffee cups and poured the coffee in. Well, come on. Let's go!" I grabbed both dress bags and walked out to Morgan's car.
One short car ride later
I helped Morgan into her wedding dress and she helped me into mine. Mine was a white dress with black flower embelishments along the side. Morgan's dress was white with a layer of white lace on top of a satin dress. "You look so pretty, Morgan!" "So do you. You picked the right dress. It fits your body really well." "So does yours. I love the sleeves." "I dare say we are the prettiest women in the world." Morgan bragged. We both laughed. Morgan's mom then came in to tell us it was almost time. "Oh, Morgan. You're dad would be so proud." They hugged and I stood to the side. "Come on, let's go get you married." We grabbed our bouquets that consisted of light pink hydrandeas and wildflowers. I helped with the train and we walked down to the beach for the ceremony. Along the rows of chairs were little mason jars with wildflowers inside. The eisle was covered in flower petals. Nate stood at the alter, a purple wildflower in his lapel. I squeezed Morgan's hand before walking down the eisle. We decided to go barefoot for the ceremony. Then for the reception, we would slip on a pair of converses. I noticed the Scene sitting in the middle of the left side of the two rows. Nate's Youtube friends were sitting on the right side. Nate smiled when he saw me in my dress. The music changed and everyone stood up for Morgan. Her mom walked her down the eisle past all our smiling friends. She took Nate's hand and gave her mother a hug. "Today, we're here to celebrate the marriage of Morgan and Nathan. And the unity of them and Nathan's daughter, Charlotte." The officiant told everyone what marriage was and a whole lot of boring things. Soon, it was time for the vows. Morgan went first. "Nate, dear Nate. You are the most random person I have ever come across. You make millions of people around the world laugh and bring joy to not just Charlotte's life, but mine as well. And with that, I'll keep it short and sweet. I love you more than life itself and can't wait to spend my life with you." I saw Nate wipe away a stray tear rolling down Morgan's cheek. "Morgan, dear Morgan. After we got back together, I asked myself why we broke up in the first place. All our friends say we belong together. The internet might say I should be with someone else," he looked at Matt, his best man, and the audience laughed. "But I think otherwise. You treat Charlotte like a daughter already and I can't think of another woman who will help me raise my child. And maybe someday, a couple more." They slid a ring onto each other's ring finger and the officiant spoke up again. "We're now going to ask Charlotte to join us. Each of you are going to pour a small jar of different colored sand to symbolize the joining of the three of you." I grabbed the pink sand, Nate grabbed the black sand and Morgan grabbed the blue sand. We then poured the colors together into one big jar. Morgan and Nate agreed that it would go on the mantle in the living room when they got back from their honeymoon. I stepped aside for the last few minutes of the ceremony. "And with that, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Nate took Morgan's face in his hands and kissed her. We all clapped and cheered. After they broke the kiss, the officiant spoke up for the last time. "May I present Mr. and Mrs. Nathan and Morgan Sharp." Nate pulled me over and stuck me in the middle of the two of them. We walked down the eisle and up the beach to the reception space in the hotel ballroom. I grabbed my converse out from the bottom of the table and tied them onto my feet. Nate smiled when I jumped up. "You look cute sweetheart." I blushed. Morgan and Nate left the room for their grand entrance and I stayed behind to greet our friends. The Scene came up and hugged me. "You have a mom now!" Myka said. She was wearing a cute royal blue dress with thin straps. Lyanna and Kile, like the cute couple they are, were wearing the same red color. Lyanna's dress came down below her knees while Kile wore a black suit and red undershirt. Amber, like the rebel she is, wore a pair of black dress pants and a purple dress shirt. Hale was wearing a suit as well with a black undershirt and a dark green tie. "You all look so nice! I've never seen you dress up before." "Well, wait until prom!" Lyanna said, taking Kile's hand. Peppy music started up and we rushed to our seats. I stood at the wedding party's table with the groomsmen. It was lonely on my side, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Nate and Morgan walked in together, her in his arms. We all cheered for them as they made their way over to the dance floor. They picked out A Thousand Years by Christina Perry for their first dance. Nate dipped her a couple times and I could see the joy on their faces. They were the perfect couple. The song ended with them kissing. We all clapped and they walked over to the table. They gave me a hug and we sat down to eat. After dinner, the dance floor opened up and the DJ started playing dancing music. The Scene pulled me to the dance floor when they played Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time by Panic! At The Disco. We all laughed at our attempts at dancing. A slow song eventually played and most people cleared off the dance floor. Hale took my hand and pulled me onto the dance floor. We both looked into each other's eyes as we danced. "I just wanted you to know, I didn't ignore your text the day you left. I just didn't see it until you left." "I had a feeling. You've been giving me looks since we met." We were both silent for a little bit. Hale pulled me closer to him and I stood on my toes. Our lips met and I closed my eyes. I didn't care if anyone was looking. We were in our own little bubble. The song ended and our lips seperated. "Did you know you're a good kisser?" Hale asked. I laughed and we left the dance floor. Amber and Myka both clapped for us. "I ship it. You two look so cute together!" Myka said. I shook my head and threw my arm around her shoulder. "Even more than Lyanna and Kile?" I asked. "Well, yeah. Amber called it from day one." Morgan and Nate walked over to us. "Hey guys. Enjoying the party?" Morgan asked. They all nodded. "Come with us for a minute." Nate said. Hale slipped his hand in mine and we followed my parents. Morgan opened the door to the room next to the ballroom. There were at least three tables covered in sweets. "You guys are family and you get first dibs." Nate explained. "Shh, don't tell anyone just yet." They walked out the door and left us. Myka smirked and ran to get a couple bags. "I picked most of this out. I knes what you guys liked." I said, grabbing my own bag. We didn't take too much. Just two bags each. "Not to spoil anything, but there's a photo booth in the lobby. That was Morgan's idea." "Your parents know how to party." Kile said, biting into a cake-pop I made yesterday. Come on. Let's go back out there." Amber said. We snuck out just as a crowd came over to the room. I went over to my seat and set my bags down. Morgan and Nate came over to me and pulled me towards the photo booth. "We needed to get a nice family picture. Just the three of us." Nate said. He gave me a piggy-back ride through the ballroom and over to the booth. We stepped inside and started with three silly pictures and one serious picture. We were all smiling and we looked like a real family. After we got back, the Scene and I all went in together. The whole time, we made silly faces. When I got back, Morgan and Nate motioned for me to join them at the cake. They cut the cake and put a slice on a plate. Nate grabbed a fork and started to give some to Morgan but ended up smearing it on her face. She did the same with him. They then took some and smeared it on my face. We all started laughing. At the end of the night, Morgan threw her bouquet and I ended up catching it. I guess I'll be the next one to get married. The happy couple left the reception in a limo on their way to the airport. Morgan's mom was staying in LA to take care of me. The sun was just starting to set as I watched my parents ride off together.
