doctor bailey walked out of the trauma room, her scrub cap in her hands, 'it's just a waiting game now..' she told sofias parents. 'that isn't enough, what happened, what's going on' callie screamed stumbling over her words. 'well she suffered a head injury, her stats dropped and she went into shock, her heart did stop but she is now stable and we just have wait for her to wake up.' bailey informed callie. 'yeah, that's if she wakes up' arizona added, gripping on tighter to callies hand with every word bailey was saying. 'before you go in there, you need to prepare yourse..' before bailey could finish her sentence, arizona marched into the room where her daughter lay. callie following her, immediately burst into tears, as she ran over and held sofias hand, kissing her forehead. 'hey sweetie, your mommys are here, everything's going to be ok' callie told her, crying in between words.
a few hours had passed and callie and arizona walked out of the room were their daughter lay, hand in hand, so they could breathe some fresh air and try to wrap their head around what had just happened to their family, not that their family was perfect before, but two divorced parents weren't uncommon, but i guess a happy family didn't exactly describe them. they loved their child more than anything however, and losing her would be the most tragic thing they could begin to imagine..they worked with death everyday, but experiencing it themselves almost made them better at their jobs, they were learning the pain the put on parents everyday. penny turned the corner to see sofias parents, immediately callie dropped arizonas hand as penny ran into her arms trembling and asking if sofia was alright and informing callie of how the doctors wouldn't let her in to see her because she wasn't a parent. penny interlocked fingers with callie and forcefully kissed her, arizona seemed extremely uncomfortable as callie pulled away from pennys lips to remind her that arizona was clearly still beside them. doctor bailey rushed over when she saw the three doctors standing in the hall and asked to speak to robbins and torres about their daughters current medical state and how they want to precede. penny immediately started asking questions about sofias state, but bailey quickly responded with the catch line of patient confidentiality. penny looked offended, telling miranda that she was sofias parent. arizonas head immediately shot up to look towards callie, both making confused expressions at each other. penny turned round and pointed at arizona, stating that she was more of a mother than arizona was. bailey furiously snapped at her, asking why she chose arizona as the victim of the conversation and not callie. penny responded with the answer that callie and mark were sofias parents, and arizona was nothing. she immediately flashed back to being with mark when callie was in the car accident. when mark told her she was 'nothing.' arizona started imagining all the amazing moments they had together. when callie kicked mark out of their apartment so they could eat pizza and drink beer, their wedding day, every perfect memory flashed in her brain. she turned round, and stared into callies eyes, ignoring both bailey and penny. 'our daughter is going to be ok, she's going to be perfectly fine and we are going to be so happy, like we used to be, god callie why did you ever leave me, i love you so much it hurts.' callie glared back into her eyes, knowing what arizona was going to do next, which was exactly what she suspected. arizona took a step towards callie and placed her hand on her face, slowly teasing her, then biting her bottom lip. she grazed her juicy, wet lips across callies, before she kissed her hard and passionately. their entire world spinned. time had stopped. baileys pager interrupted the perfect moment with '911 - sofia sloan torres'
