obvlivion - part five

callie, arizona and penny ran into the room where sofia lay. she was no longer unconscious, she was awake. her eyes immediately shot up to meet her parents. they ran over, kissing and stroking her hair, reminding her of how precious she was. doctor grey and doctor shepherd walked into the room, looking surprisingly happy. 'we have some good news' amelia told them, 'brain scans are clear, no injury to the head, so you can take your little girl home.' callie let out a sigh of relief, 'we can go home baby, let's go home.'

--------------------later that day -------------------

arizona, unsure of where home was for her little girl, walked into the hospital room where penny, callie and sofia where. penny was screaming at callie, who had at this point burst into tears. robbins approached them gently, reminding them this was a peds ward, and screaming really isn't helping anyone. penny looked disgusted. she stood up so she was level with arizona, and spoke. 'how fucking dare you' 'language!' callie shouted. 'you selfish bitch. you think you can just walk back into callies life and ruin everything? she has a family. she has me and sofia. she doesnt need you.' penny snapped at arizona. arizona walked out of the room, tear drops running down her face.

callie, penny and sofia had spent the night in a hotel room, even though arizona had offered to let them stay in her house, but was immediately turned down. arizona knocked on the hotel room door, hoping to see callie so they could talk about what happened. penny opened the door, and behind her, arizona glared at the large suitcases sitting on the floor. 'hey..uhh, where's callie' arizona asked. callie walked out from the bathroom, to surprisingly see arizona at the door. callie stepped outside with arizona, shutting the door behind them. 'i don't know what happened, i don't know if it was just the fact that we thought our daughter was about to die and i guess i needed comfort..im sorry i know you love penny and i ruined everything' arizona started to cry as the words came out of her mouth. callie attempted to hide her disappointment. both of them felt the exact same way. they both loved each other so much that they were too afraid and too stupid to tell each other, because they wanted the other one to be happy. callie just nodded, wishing arizona had of confessed her love for her instead. she kissed arizona on the cheek, 'ill bring sofia home next month ok?' callie said, as she walked inside the hotel room, shutting the door behind xher, leaving arizona standing in the hall, feeling empty, alone, and as in love with callie as ever
