Yoko beat us to my apartment. She was parked out front. Waiting for us in Subaru's car. We pulled up right behind her. They both walked me up to my apartment and insisted that they came in as well. I couldn't say no to them. Especially Subaru. As for Yoko I had no choice but to let her in.

"Go sit on the couch." He ordered as he closed the front door of my apartment. Along with giving Yoko instructions of what he needed and sending her off to my bathroom. I looked back at him and noticed that he was staring at the hole in the wall. Studying it intensely. His eyes narrowed a bit. I saw him biting his lower lip. His eyes switched back to me. Seeing that I wasn't moving towards the couch. "Kuina, go sit on the couch." He said again. More strict this time.

This time I did as he said. Not wanting to anger him anymore. I knew he could get mad just as easily as I can. We both got mad whenever we got annoyed. It didn't happen often but when it did happen, lets just say it's best to just let us be and not to argue.

I sat down on the couch. Still cradling my injured hand. I watched as Subaru walked in to my kitchen, grab a hand towel, and run it under cold water from the foset. When he returned he sat down in front of me. Sitting on his knees. He grabbed my hand. Laying the towel over the injury. I cringed at the feeling of the cold, wet towel. It stung a bit. But I relaxed a few moments after.

Subaru looked up at Yoko, who watched us from the other side of the room. "Yoko, could you go to the bathroom and get some medicine and gauze." He instructed his girl friend. She nod and left the room. Leaving the two of us alone. He brought his attention back to me. "Now that she's gone, could you tell me what really is going on?"

I looked away from him. Not wanting to meet his gaze. Of course he knew that everything I told him was a lie. But I couldn't tell him the truth. He waited patiently for me to answer. I didn't answer of course.

He sighed next to me. "Alright don't say anything. How about I guess and you nod when I get it right." I simply nod. Still not looking at him. "So I'm guessing that you didn't hit your hand on the dresser. Instead you punched that hole in the wall." He guessed. Getting everything right

I nod.

"Why Kuina? Why did you do that?" he asks me. His voice turning into a plead. I shook my head. Still avoiding eye contact. I felt the tip of his fingers under my chin as he moved my head so I was looking at him. "What are you hiding from me? I'm your best friend you can tell me anything."

I finally looked in to his eyes. I felt a stab of guilt go through me. His brown eyes were full of worry. He was almost close to tears. God, I can't keep doing this. If I keep doing this I might lose him without Yoko's help. I need to come clean. I mean how hard can it be to say I love you. I closed my eyes and swallowed. "I... I... I lo..."

Before I could finish, Yoko walked into the room. "I found the stuff." She announced. Interrupting me. We both look at her. She walked over to us. Handing Subaru all the things she gathered from the bathroom. He accepted them right away.

He grew quiet after that. Getting to work on dressing my injury. He didn't ask me anymore questions. Knowing that I wouldn't answer with Yoko standing there. Not even asking me about what I was going to say. I wished that Yoko wasn't here. If she wasn't here then I would have been able to tell him. I guess I'll try again later. Yup it's final. I'll tell him when I see him during refusal tomorrow.
