SOMETIMES, AMELIA ALCATRAZ needs time away from her friends. Don't get her wrong, she loves all of them. Theo, Adah, Oliver, maybe even Rosella. But sometimes, they became too much.
Like, for example, now.
"What the hell are you guys doing!?" Amelia stared at her three friends, Adah, Theodore and Rosella as they attempted to give her dog a bath.
In the middle of her living room.
The three of them froze at the sound of their friend's angry voice, Rosella being the only one with enough courage to speak. "Well, we thought that since you started college a week ago, you wouldn't have enough time to, um... give Maia a bath."
"Get out," Amelia hissed out.
Rosella's eyes widened a fraction, "Why are you so mad? We're trying to be nice," behind her, Theodore and Adah were frantically shaking their heads at her in warning.
Amelia glared at her so menacingly that she unconsciously took a step back, launching her into the tub of water they were bathing Maia in. Adah's quick reflexes weren't enough to catch the falling girl, thus resulting in a wet living room, three scared teenagers, a hyperactive puppy and a seething, slightly dangerous girl.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Amelia. I didn't mean to fall into the tu-" Amelia raised her hand, cutting off the younger Acker twin.
She then turned to Adah and calmly said, "Please get out of my house before I break something," she paused, shooting Rosella a glare, "or someone."
Rosella hastily jumped out of the tub as Adah gestured Theodore to help her carry it outside. The three teenagers hurriedly walked out of the house, the Acker twins desperately shooting apologetic glances at Amelia.
Once they left, Amelia looked at the damage inflicted upon her living room. Then she looked at her puppy, who was sitting on her couch covered in soap, and sighed. "You're lucky you're cute, or else you would have left with them," she received only a bark in response.
After she had cleaned her living room and given Maia a proper bath, Amelia received a phone call from an unknown number. Maybe it's Oliver, she thought.
"Hello?" She spoke into the phone.
"Archer? Hey it's me, Oliver. I'm kind of in a difficult position right now, I need you to come help me."
"Define, 'difficult position'"
"Um, I got arrested for defenestration." Oliver mumbled.
