TRIGGER WARNING!
Please please please! Read this chapter at your own risk. I made a mistake with my last finished story by not putting a warning talking about death so this is it. If you are sensitive to death, or have recently had someone near you die, then please read at your own risk. I don't want to purposely make you guys feel uncomfortable, or trigger any illnesses you guys may have. I LOVE YOU ALL AND LET THE CHAPTER BEGIN!

"Mom, Dad!" I hug them both. "I missed you guys soo much!"

"We missed you too," my Dad says.

"Where's Addilyn?" I ask.

"She's sitting in the car. She's grounded right now."

"In my head I do a little dance and sing a song. I never thought I'd see the day when she got grounded. She gets away with everything. My parents are always strict with me, but never her.

"Wow, feels good to be back in here," I say unpacking my things in my room. Everything is the exact same. Including the window with the horrible view of Mark's house. Of course, as I'm looking out the window, I see Mark and his family pulling up. His Dad, step mom; Dee, and brother Tom, all get out of the car before him. Tomorrow is Christmas eve. I'm waiting for the dreadful moment my when mom tells me she's invited Mark's family over for dinner. Not that she needs to tell me, since I already know.

*Mark's Pov*
I get out of my dad's car. My head instinctively turns to where (y/n)''s window is. I see her back facing the window. A fire begins to burn inside me. She has no reason to hate Claire. Claire hasn't done anything to her. The fight at the party doesn't count. (Y/n) was at as much fault as Claire was. Plus, Claire was drunk. She didn't know what she was doing. I don't understand what everyone's deal is. I know that Bob, Wade, Grace, and (y/n) all hate Claire. At least Bob and Wade know how to pretend they like her.

What matters most is she makes me happy. Even if that means my friends begin to hate me. As long as I have her. I would do anything for her.

~Timey Skippy~
At (y/n)'s door, I start to feel anxious. I don't understand why I have to go to her family's dinner. We could have our own. I hate that our families are such good friends.

I sit at the table. Not making eye contact with anyone. Just staring down at my plate full of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans. At least the food is good. That's probably the best thing about being here. Is her mom and dad know how to make a good ass dinner.

"So, Tom," (y/n)'s mom began. " I haven't heard much about what you were doing. How's college going for you?"

"I'm going into comic book design. I love making my own cartoons."

"That just sounds like so much fun!" Her mom responds.

Just kill me. I think to myself.

Successfully avoiding eye contact with (y/n) the whole time, we finally get home. It's about nine-thirty, because my parents decided to stay a while and talk.

I lay in bed. My eyes keep drifting towards (y/n)'s window. I turn my back to face the window. My eyelids get heavy. I fall asleep.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

I jolt awake. Dee is screaming! I run out into the hallway and Tom runs out at the same time as me.

"What the hell was that?" I ask him.

"Sounded like Dee."

We bolt into my dad's room. He looks horrible. Right now, I know that this is it. I get down by the bed and grab his hand. "Dad? Dad, stay with me! Everything is gonna be okay."

Dee is crying on the other side of the bed.

Tom is standing right behind me. His hand is on my shoulder.

"Dad?" Tom asks.

He doesn't respond.

"Dad!" I say.

He looks at us. "I love you, so much."

And that was it.
