I was gripping the post at the dock as Lyon tried to pull me into the ship by my ankles, but I wasn't having any of it. I kicked and screamed like a five year old, I hated transportation, if only you knew how long it took Sif to get me on the carriage to come to Lamia Scale. "No, no, no!" I screamed as I tightened my grip on the wooden post, splinters stuck into my sensitive skin, and my strong nails digging into the cracks of the raw wood.
"Nana, come on!" Lyon strained. "The crew said we have to get going, you're holding the ship back from the wind!
"No! I change my mind! I change my mind!" I cried over and over again. "Ouch!" I yelped as I felt a gigantic splinter stab my thumb, causing me to lose my grip. I was pulled back with such force that I crashed into Lyon and caught myself with my hands pressed up against the wooden flooring, pushing all the splinters I acquired from my revisits to go further into my skin and you bet your ass that it hurt like hell. "Lyon," I whimpered as I sat up and looked around for the Ice Make wizard, but I couldn't see him.
"You're sitting on top of me..." he groaned as I looked down and saw that his nose was less than an inch away from being sat on by my bum.
"It hurts..." I sniffled as I stood up and showed him my splinter-filled hands.
"Can't you heal yourself?" Lyon held my hands and studied the blood spots, carefully pulling out the splinters. "See, this is why you shouldn't have resisted coming on the ship, we're almost half an hour behind schedule."
"I'm sorry—" I froze as my stomach began to turn and my head started to spin. "Agh..." I groaned as I fell to my knees and laid on my stomach.
"Nana!" Lyon panicked as he shook my arm. "Get up Nana! Fight your motion sickness, you're stronger than this!" I admired him comforting me, but it really wasn't helping me. I finally faced him and squatted down, sitting on the deck while the crew broke out in laughter.
"Some Dragon Slayer, if she even is one," one of them cackled. "Being defeated by a mere boat, how weak."
"Terrianna is the strongest wizard I know," Lyon stood up for me as he continued to pick out the splinters from my hands. "Everyone has a weakness and her's happens to be vehicles, it's not her fault. There, I took them all out."
"Can't use magic...too sick," I gasped for air as I carefully stood to my feet, trying to balance. This went on for about an hour, until I heard the song.
"Desiderabilia mea nauta, nautae pulchra puer meus," the song was in Latin and translated to: My lovely sailor, my lovely sailor boy. Luckily, her voice doesn't affect woman; it affects men.
"That voice..." Lyon gasped as I looked up at him while cold sweats dripped down the sides of my face.
"Ly...on..." I groaned as I looked deep into his eyes, they were glazed over and he began to stare into space. "Don't!" I screamed, but he didn't listen. The rest of the crew were also mesmerized by the song, that's when I noticed that the rocking ship came to a stop; I was able to breathe normally and my stomach stopped turning. Half of the crew members were already overboard, being dragged down into the thick blanket of blue. This wasn't just one siren...it was a whole pod of them, I spotted about five of the vile creatures. "Lyon!" I screamed as I saw that he was also in the water, waiting for the siren to drag him down. "I hate the ocean so much," I growled to myself as I took a deep breath and jumped in after him. I opened my eyes as the salt water burned, but I was set on finding Lyon. If I don't save him, I won't be able to forgive myself. There he was, he was locking lips with one of the black haired monsters that looked like a goddess. I swam towards him and pulled him away from her, I let out a hefty roar under the water which seemed to do a lot more damage than I thought; I have gotten stronger. My arm was wrapped around Lyon's chest as I surface and continued to watch the crew members being dragged down. "I'm sorry Lyon," I punched him as hard as I could to knock him out and threw him back onto the ship. A terrifying screech rang in my left ear as the siren that had Lyon, dragged me down. That bitch, I let out another roar and attracted the four other sirens to leave the crew em members all be as they floated up to the surface. I managed to fight off the pod and got rid of them for good, but the thing that went wrong was that I was out of air and I was so far from the surface. My hands covered my mouth and pinched my nose as I kicked my feet as fast as I could to reach the surface. I barely made it and began to throw up (what seemed like) gallons of salt water.
