Chapter 4: New Destination!!!!!

Today Simon and I were cleaning out our hut when a tall lady walked by. She stopped and looked at us hopefully. She got a tear in her eye.

"Hello poor children," she said calmly.

"H..hi!" We both said nervously.

"Come live with me, it's too dangerous here for you two to live here!" She said slowly.

We both gathered our things and got Hazel, and then we followed the lady to her home.

It was a medium sized home. It was white with a black roof, it had a beautiful lawn that looked like a professional gardener would have done, the mailbox had flowers decorated on it. Flowers surrounded the home. The door was brown. It had a friendly message to welcome any guests.

The lady opened the door. A staircase stood in front of our eyes. The walls were a neutral colour that made the place feel warm and inviting. A chandelier hung above us in the hallway. The floor was a beautiful wooden fresh colour.

The lady showed us around the place. Every room was like Disneyland. Jacob and Simon were speechless!!

The lady showed us to our room. It's huge!!!

"Wow!!!!!" We both exclaimed. The lady chuckled.

The room had a baby blue wallpaper, it had another chandelier, it had two queen beds, two walk-in wardrobes, a large mirror, and an ensuite bathroom. It was like heaven!! Jacob and Simon put their things down and gave the lady a hug

"Thankyou!!!" They both said quietly.

"You guys think this is your room?" The lady said surprised.

Jacob and Simon both looked at each other embarrassed.

"Hahahhahaha, I'm just kidding, of course, this is your room!!!"

At first, Jacob and Simon didn't know if they should trust this lady, but she was too nice to be someone who would kidnap two poor children.

Jacob and Simon unpacked their belongings and picked which side of the room each of them would have.

The lady then called the boys down for lunch. It was only 12.43 pm in the afternoon. They were seated in a fancy little dining room. The walls were tan with fancy patterns in black all over. The floor was black wood. The dining table was long, white and stable. It was a glass table. The chairs were black and wooden with cushions on the seat for extra comfort. A vase full of beautiful blood red roses were displayed on top of the table. Jacob and Simon's mouthed dropped as they entered the dining room. A butler in a fancy suit seated them in the middle of the table. The lady was already sitting on the other side of the table. Chefs brought out 3 plates of green salad to the table. Another chef brought out some forks and glasses. Another chef poured sparkling water into 3 wine glasses. Jacob and Simon were amazed while watching all this. The food looked so nice, so fancy.

"Eat up boys," The lady said softly.

The boys picked up a fork and dug in. They used table manners, instead of how they had to eat in the hut.

"So tomorrow I shall take you boys shopping for some new clothes," said the lady looking up and down at their torn and dirty clothing.

"Oh thank you so much!" Simon said enthusiastically.

Jacob was still wrestling a piece of lettuce stuck in his teeth.

"If I may ask, what are your names?" The lady asked.

"My name is Jacob," Jacob said making it obvious.

"And my name is Simon" Simon added.

"Well it's very nice to meet you both, sorry I didn't tell you my name before, my name is Sue," Sue said politely.

After lunch, the boys both were shown into the living room, where they watched tv. The two boys were extremely grateful for everything. They felt guilty about all the trouble the lady was going through for them. They couldn't believe that they were under a fancy roof, eating fancy food!!!!

Jacob and Simon thanked the lady when she walked by. Her kind smile and warm smile was so promising and calming. Once the day ended the boys went to bed. Sue wished them a good night and read them a bedtime story. Jacob has never had a bedtime story before. Simon hasn't had a bedtime story since he was a toddler!! The boys soon fell asleep. They slept like angels!!
