The black endless night threatens to swallow you completely,
Wiping any trace of our precious time spent.
My heart burns bright as a candle through the windows of my soul,
A flaming beacon showing you the way back into my arms.
You are my light in the shadows of my mind,
Keeping me from falling prey to the darkness.
My heart faltered long enough for you to doubt,
Opening a door for the shadows to whisper.
Luring you with promises of power,
Whispering power is what I desire.
Lies of these you believe,
Only because he hath power.
The one my heart faltered for
falsified in comparison of my love for you.
As the power consumes,
Darkness sets in and controls.
Leading you further away,
Leaving light as a distant memory.
The ice of pain wrapped its way around your heart,
Freezing away the warmth, caring, passion and love.
Remember our love and let it blaze within you,
Send out your flame to join with mine.
Together the beacon blazes brighter than ever,
Forcing the shadows to flee from our love.
Let it lead you out of the endless night,
Bringing you back into my arms.
