Out my window, I begin to stare,
As a ghostly presence fills the air.
Across the heavens a ghastly streak,
Swallowing hard and feeling bleak.
Blankets of fog crawl across the land,
As easily as a tides flow over sand.
Frost seizes the edges of my window,
Setting my spine into jello.
Coldness surrounds my darkened room,
Filling me with this familiar gloom.
I turn to glimpse my hearts desire,
Standing there by the dying fire.
How long till we can be together,
If it were up to me, it would be forever.
Your chains of time weigh you here,
They measure out your life crystal clear.
I will not take you while you still wear one,
Live I beg you passed even a hundred and one.
I tell you this my reason for eternal bliss,
When the time comes, I will give you a kiss.
I will take you myself into the Summerland,
I will watch you as we take our last stand.
Together no more as I set you free,
To fulfill your after life as it should be.
My bliss please live as if you had never known,
Your life and mine as if a candle blown.
Crave life all the more,
Fore death is nevermore.
